Mulheres atletas de futsal: estratégias de resistência e permanência no esporte

Abstract

2 Revista Estudos Feministas, Florianópolis, 26(1): e40862 ANDRÉ LUIZ DOS SANTOS SILVA E PATRÍCIA ANDRIOLI NAZÁRIO Hoje, faço uma analogia entre o início dos jogos com o início deste texto, numa tentativa de demarcar, política e academicamente, o local de onde falo: ex-atleta de futebol feminino, cujos percursos no esporte foram marcados pelos estigmas do preconceito. Apesar disso e, talvez, justamente por isso, opto novamente por entrar naqueles vestiários.Entretanto, faço isso com outros olhos, uma vez que os percursos acadêmicos, guiados pelos estudos de Gênero, "educaram" minhas sensibilidades e meus modos de ver. Apesar da "apreensão" gerada pela responsabilidade, política e acadêmica, 2 de investigar temáticas como esta, sinto-me motivada e ansiosa para entrar logo em campo.Ser mulher e jogar futebol significa, simultaneamente, praticar um esporte concebido como fenômeno social e estar à margem daquilo considerado "central" para o sexo feminino (Guacira LOURO, 2012). Não raras vezes, mulheres atletas são chamadas a prestar contas sobre suas identidades de gênero e orientações sexuais, que são postas sob suspeita, na medida em que um corpo feminino robusto, forjado no e pelo esporte, manifesta atributos como força, agressividade e habilidade técnica -elementos culturalmente entendidos como tipicamente masculinos.Assim, barreiras discriminatórias que envolvem as mulheres atletas, em especial aquelas que jogam futsal e futebol, ainda são comuns. Em 2007, apesar da Seleção Brasileira de Futebol Feminino ter conquistado o título de campeã dos Jogos Pan-Americanos do Rio de Janeiro, a mídia esportiva destinou tímidos espaços para comentar a vitória das atletas. Além disso, o vice-campeonato na Copa do Mundo de 2007, o vice-campeonato nos Jogos Olímpicos de Pequim em 2008, o título máximo de campeãs sul-americanas em 2014, com vaga garantida para a Copa do Mundo de Futebol Feminino no Canadá em 2015, sugerem que a pouca visibilidade feminina nos meios de comunicação não é decorrente da falta de habilidade das mulheres; o fato é que a desigualdade das relações de gênero atribui menos evidência à desenvoltura de atletas como Marta. 3 Historicamente, a dicotomia homem forte e mulher frágil tem funcionado como uma representação que ensina modos de ser e se portar, criando expectativas sobre as condutas femininas em todos os segmentos sociais. As diferenças anatômicas e biológicas têm sido significadas como base explicativa para desigualdades sociais, cujas respostas, entretanto, advêm de uma construção histórico-cultural manifestada em crenças religiosas, tabus sociais e aversão à diferença (Antônio SIMÕES, Jorge KNIJNIK e Líbia MACEDO, 2005). A exemplo disso, em 1941, o General Newton Cavalcanti apresentou, ao Conselho Nacional de Desportos, argumentos para oficializar a interdição das mulheres a modalidades como lutas, salto com vara, salto triplo e pentatlo (Silvana GOELLNER, 2005a; Ludmila MOURÃO, 2011;Gabriela SOUZA, et all, 2015). Brazilian women elite futsal players’ career development: diversified experiences and late sport specialization
