Tecnologia.
ABSTRACTIn Brazil, in the sugar and alcohol industry, the use of new technologies related to farming activity and industrial transformation of sugarcane has given up increasingly and irreversibly. Thus, this work aims to address the issues related to the current stage of innovations, the motivating factors for the adoption of these technological innovations and industry outlook. The methodology used was a literature review of the last decade, the period from 2005 to 2014. It was decided to review mainly the major Brazilian journals dealing with the subject. Among the key findings are warns that due to developments in the technological paradigm, the plants are required to take on new investments to maintain or even exceed their market shares. It was found that the motivations and competitive advantage of these plants come from reduced costs and increased efficiency as well as greater reliability in operating controls depending on the technological innovations employed. These are advancing in Brazil, but there is plenty of room to evolve. And unfortunately, not all actors are covered with the benefits of economic activity analyzed, meaning that progress in the technical-productive means shows up not reaching all producers.
