The development of information technology rapidly has an impact on the changing paradigm of education. On the other hand, education holds an important responsibility to create students who have a good and strong character. This research aims to: 1) describe the concept and framework of interactive multimedia courseware; 2) test the feasibility of interactive multimedia courseware by experts and practitioners; 3) test student responses to the use of interactive multimedia courseware. This research and development involved experts, teachers, and students. The data were collected using expert validation sheets, teacher questionnaires, and student questionnaires. They were then analyzed using the descriptive statistics analysis based on mean and percentage. This research yielded interactive multimedia courseware called IMONEC (Interactive Multimedia courseware integrated with Bandura's Observational learning model and National historical Event to strengthen students' Character) that integrates three important components: the principles of interactive multimedia learning; Bandura's observational learning model; and the noble values and messages of national historical events to strengthen students' characters. The framework of the interactive multimedia courseware consists of the title, user instruction, home, core competency and basic competency, concept map of material, learning material, and quizzes. The results of the expert validation, teacher questionnaire, and student questionnaire showed that the interactive multimedia courseware is feasible for use in learning and effective in strengthening students' characters.

This study intends to identify school readiness in implementing information and communication technology (ICT) assisted learning, especially the use of computers. This research applied descriptive quantitative. The research samples used were subject teachers and second grade of high school students. The data collection technique employed a survey method, carried out with a random questionnaire distribution to the research sample. The results of the research sample responses were analyzed quantitatively by interpreting the percentage. Information was obtained that schools were basically "ready" to implement ICT-assisted learning. Student responses" results showed that 55% of students "agreed" that the school had a computer laboratory, meanwhile 41.7% of students stated that they had sufficient ability at operating computers. The teachers' responses showed that the school already has supported the computer-assisted learning process and they are interested in integrating ICT in classroom activities. This research can be a basis for educators in identifying the extent to which students, teachers and school facilities are prepared to support computerbased learning. Given that computers are one of the technologies that can be used for learning activities and have been empirically proven to be able to make it easier for students to understand learning material.

This qualitative study aims to obtain an overview of the current situation of instructional media use, and learning media needs formulation in science teaching process in junior high school by understanding their accessibility potential by knowledge, types of media used, and to state their perceptions to adopt media in science teaching on the static electricity and digestive system materials. The participants are 20 teachers and students in three junior high schools around Surakarta. The data were collected through two parts of electronic questionnaire during the odd semester of 2019/2020 academic year. The results indicated that 1) the current instructional media use in the science learning process has not been carried out optimally since they have the convenience of choosing and using variations of media. 2) There are challenges in the material delivery of abstract, conceptual, and procedural materials since the teacher needs a media to visualize the process and explain it correctly in and so that students have detail conceptions about the process. 3) There is a need for learning media to be developed in science learning, especially in form of audiovisual media. This result can be a consideration in developing science learning media for junior high school.
