“…19 Os aspectos relacionados ao sexo e a faixa etária predominantes, entre as vítimas de acidentes no ambiente laboral, foram semelhantes aos achados de uma investigação realizada no Estado de Tocantins, que se utilizou do Sistema de Informações sobre Mortalidade (SIM) para descrever os acidentes de trabalho fatais, demonstrando que a maior proporção de óbitos em pessoas do sexo masculino (95,5%) foi na faixa etária dos 20 aos 49 anos (75,6%). 22 Na Tabela 2, no entanto, ficou evidente que qualquer ocupação está exposta a acidentes no desenrolar de suas atividades laborais, em todos os setores da economia, independente da escolaridade. No entanto, a maior parte dos acidentes esteve presente na área agroindustrial (33,76%), seguida da industrial (23,27%) e, posteriormente, o comércio é destacado com 60 acidentes (15,35%).…”
