<p>Tourism is a growing sector in North Halmahera Regency. The development of the tourism sector inseparable with the role of entrepreneurship supported by human resources and infrastructure. This research conducted since 2015 use qualitative method and case studies approach on local tourism community known as <em>Kasbi Community </em>. This research discusses an institutional sustainability of community based tourism in North Halmahera. This research findings shows that Participation and partnerships are useful in encouraging tourism development to achieve sustainable tourism through community it’s also attempt to maintain the sustainability of tourism itself.</p>

The actualization of the paradigm of cooperation between religious communities is the most important agenda for activists of inter-religious harmony, especially religious believers themselves. Especially for the people who live in a multi-religious area, because there is no religion teaches hatred in order to harmony between religious communities must be cared for and maintained well. In relations between religious communities, this is need for collective action in facing the challenges of the future of humanity, because of considering the reality of Indonesia which adheres to absolute multiculturalism. This research used field research to raise a phenomenon of cooperation between religious community in the village of Kiluan by used descriptive analysis techniques and direct interviews. The results of this study indicate that the cooperation carried out by the community is associative, namely the cooperative relationship that exists in every aspect of social life and also supported by government and local religious leader. In conclusion, if all the stake holders well cooperate in every social life, the paradigm of cooperation between religious communities is well actualized and fully tolerated.

Lampung is a multicultural region where various ethnic groups in Indonesia can be found and settle in this region, and among them is The Balinese. The Balinese community migrated to Lampung through the transmigration process in 1963 due to the eruption of Mount Agung. One of the Bali migrant communities lives in Bali Sadhar village in Banjit sub-district of Way Kanan Regency of Lampung Province. This Balinese (Bali Sadhar) community in Lampung lives side by side with other communities that have very different cultural values, such as Lampung, Semende, Ogan, Javanese, and Sundanese. Balinese communities have a strong Hindu cultural identity, while the surrounding communities have a strong Islamic identity combined with its rituals. The strength of this Balinese Hindu identity can cause cause them to often conflict with other ethnic groups around, but the Balinese community (Bali Sadhar) in Way Kanan can actually live in harmony with the surrounding communities. This article explains how identity politics is carried out by the Bali Sadhar community in Lampung. The success of identity politics of the Bali Sadhar community is done by redefining the cultural values (Hinduism) they have in accordance with their environmental conditions. As the result, these people are still able to realize their cultural identity and also able to coexist in harmony with the other communities.
