Bromeliophila natans, uma espécie endêmica cuja localidade tipo está no Rio de Janeiro (Grolle 1985), não foi encontrada no presente estudo, e as últimas coletas foram realizadas há mais de 10 anos na Ilha do Cardoso (Schuster 1994;Grolle 1985) e em Ubatuba (Visnadi 1998), Estado de São Paulo. Com relação à distribuição das espécies no Brasil, a maioria (92%) é registrada para três ou mais regiões do país, e 61% ocorre em todas as cinco regiões, demonstrando que a brioflora do Parque é composta em sua maioria por espécies de ampla ocorrência no Brasil.…”

“…In the large size of its stylus, C. grossestyla somewhat resembles Cololejeunea latistyla R.L.Zhu from China (Zhu & So, 2000), and both C. paniensis (Tixier) Grolle (Grolle, 1975) and C. aurantia (Tixier, 1982, as Jovetastella aurantia) from New Caledonia. However, it differs strongly from those species in many characters: from C. latistyla in the lack of a hyaline border to the leaf lobe, different shape of the lobule teeth and larger stylus; from C. paniensis in the rounded leaf lobes and the rounded apex of the larger stylus, and from C. aurantia in the autoicous arrangement of the gametangia, in the larger size of its leaves, lobules and styli, and different shape and size of the lobule teeth.…”
