However, several factors have been reported to be affecting students' academic performance in Natural Science learning and these include motivation (Hossainy, Zare, Hormozi, Shaghaghi, & Kaveh, 2013;Perangin-angin & Effendy, 2016), teaching facilities (Mushtaq & Khan, 2012), student engagement (Reyes, Brackett, Rivers, White, & Salovey, 2012), students' social and emotion (Durlak et al, 2011), teachers teaching methods (Devine, Fahie, & Deirdre, 2013), and the presence or absence of cognitive barriers such as learning difficulties (Maryani, Husna, Wangid, Mustadi, & Vahechart, 2018).
