Laser induced fluorescence model of human goiter

Abstract: Laser induced fluorescence (LIF) with wide area surveillance for resected thyroid tissue solid chunks is presented. The characteristic LIF spectra of goiter were established. The state of tissue at each point represents a superposition of normal and pathology states. To our knowledge two co-existing pathological effects were observed optically for the first time.
