In this study, an attempt has been made to examine the level of organizational commitment and job satisfaction among male and female school teachers working in private schools during the Covid‐19 pandemic. For the present study, descriptive method is used. The sample of 181 private school teachers was drawn using a purposive sampling procedure. The organizational commitment questionnaire is developed by Allen and Meyer in 1990 and job satisfaction index by Brayfield and Rothe in 1951 is used for the study. For descriptive statistics mean, standard deviation (S.D.), and z test is used. Shapiro–Wilks test, Levene's test, and Mann–Whitney U test is used to analyze data in the current study. The results revealed that female teachers are more continuance committed as compared to male teachers during this tough situation of a pandemic. The level of organizational commitment is found low in both female and male teachers during the Covid‐19. No significant difference is found in the overall job satisfaction among male and female teachers during the Covid‐19 pandemic. This study also determines a positive and significant relationship between organizational commitment and job satisfaction during the Covid‐19 pandemic.

IntroductionDuring the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic teaching was changed several times to distance learning. To consider the associated stresses and challenges for teachers a nationwide cross-sectional study was performed in March 2021 in which N = 31,089 teachers from Germany participated.MethodsA multiple linear regression model with stepwise inclusion of thematically sorted variables (sociodemographic, SARS-CoV-2- and work-related variables) was used to identify relevant predictors of job satisfaction.ResultsThe analysis revealed that work-related variables were significant predictors of job satisfaction. In the third regression model, when all variables are included the adjusted R2 was 0.364. Overall, the results showed that, e.g., work predictability (b = 0.097), influence at work (b = 0.118), and meaning of work (b = 0.212) increased job satisfaction. In contrast, increased emotional exhaustion (b = −0.016), feelings of unfair treatment (b = −0.048), and work family conflicts (b = −0.154) deteriorated job satisfaction.DiscussionThe results indicate that future research should focus especially the work-related topics in more detail and that job satisfaction is a useful concept for analyzing working conditions from a public health point of view.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of covid-19 on compensation. The effect of covid-19 on organizational commitment. The effect of covid-19 on job satisfaction. The influence of covid-19 on lecturer performance. The effect of compensation on organizational commitment. The effect of compensation on job satisfaction. The effect of compensation on lecturer performance. The effect of organizational commitment on job satisfaction. This research is explanatory research with survey method. This research was conducted at Fajar University and Nitro Finance College in Makassar City, South Sulawesi Province. The research sample is 112 lecturers. Proportionate stratified random sampling was taken because the sample was stratified by using a questionnaire. Partial lies square (PLS) data analysis. The results of the study found that five hypotheses had a significant effect and three hypotheses had no significant effect, namely Covid-19 on job satisfaction. Compensation for job satisfaction. Compensation for lecturer performance.
