Ionization enhanced diffusion

Abstract

The general three-dimensional diffusion equations, along with the corresponding tensor diffusivities, are established for the normal ionization-enhanced diffusion mechanism (which is equivalent to a general twochannel diffusion mechanism) and for the Bourgoin mechanism, the latter being explicitly developed for the diamond lattice.
