Investigation of Production Process and GC-MS Analysis of Chemical Constituents of Three Traditional Medicines Sumbawa Oils

Abstract: The aims of this research are to study the production process and the chemical composition of three traditional Sumbawa oils from Benete Village (BT), Batu Dulang Village (BD), and Hutan Sumbawa (HS). A survey was conducted to learn the production process; and the chemical composition of the Sumbawa oils was determined by fractionation method using three solvents with different polarity (methanol, dichloromethane (DCM) and nhexane), followed by GC-MS analysis of each extract. In general, the three Sumbawa Oils… Show more

“…The plant species of Teucrium polium was extracted by water with solvent (150 g: 1500 ml), 4°C/3 h in Clevenger apparatus (Ebadollahi et al, 2015; Ebadollahi & Taghinezhad, 2020). The local made herbal oil was extracted using methanol, dichloromethane; hexane (3 × 100 ml) by Hadi et al (2018), and its extract was concentrated in rotary evaporator. Hurtado‐Díaz et al (2019) used hexane; dichloromethane, water: methanol solvent utilized to extract the plant samples Tournefortia hirsutissima (480 g/4 × 200 ml/24 h) and concentrated contains yield of 1.50%; 0.63%; 4.08%.…”
