Interpretation of the Effects of Job Satisfaction Mediation on the Effect of Principal Supervision and Compensation on Teacher Performance

Abstract: This research aims to determine the role of job satisfaction as a mediator of the relationship between principal supervision and compensation for teacher performance. The research design used a quantitative approach to causality. To obtain research data using documentation instruments and distributing questionnaires online. The sample used in the study was 215 respondents. The basis for determining the sample is oriented towards a non-probability sampling approach using a purposive sampling formula. To test th… Show more

“…Furthermore, in the correlation test, which calculates the relationship between the independent variable X 1 and the dependent variable Y, the correlation coefficient is 0.987. When compared with the interpretation table of the Correlation Coefficient of 0.97 < KK < 0.99, it shows a very high and very strong correlation level (Pahlawanti et al, 2020;Sherly et al, 2021). The magnitude of the effect of variable X1 (managerial supervision by supervisor) on variable Y (improvement of teacher performance) by calculating the coefficient of determination, the results obtained are 97According to the findings, managerial supervision input accounts for 97% of the variance in teacher performance gains.…”

“…Therefore, job satisfaction is related to a person's effort in doing his job with a strong OCB drive. Representatives of employees satisfied with their work are expected to do more optimally and are willing to improve organizational performance (Sherly et al, 2021). Meanwhile, employees who are satisfied with their work tend to do their work more optimally and willingly (Setiawan & Gunawan, 2018).…”

“…In simple terms, job satisfaction is the difference between what the employee expects from the job and what he does. When the employee's expectations from work are less or equal to what is given, the employee will be satisfied (Sherly et al, 2021). Several researchers have previously carried out research related to the relationship between work satisfaction and employee performance.…”
