The Sruni has been declared as a tourism village since 2011. The village is rich in cultural diversity, strong community participation and beautiful scenery of paddy field, mountains and river. This paper identified the urban acupuncture concept on spatial context and traditional culture in the improvement process to become low carbon tourism village. The methods used covering interview, field observation, Focus Group Discussion and ended with implementing the concept in design. The results showed that the demands on promoting the village as tourism object was very strong and housing re-densification could reduce the carbondioxide concentration as much as 43,439%.

In coastal tourist destinations, there is nightlife, in addition to daytime leisure. For tourism development, it is of great relevance to take into account the resident population and their attitudes. In this paper, a comparison is made between Ibiza (Spain) and Punta del Este (Uruguay) in relation to the residents’ attitudes towards nightlife. Specifically, the comparison is made by a descending cluster analysis, generating four groups of residents according to their attitudes (Enthusiasts, Moderates, Critics, and Negatives), and the distribution of these groups in the two regions is then compared. The most notable result is that the degree of acceptance of nightlife is low in both cases, possibly due to the problems attributed to it, but the score is slightly higher in the case of Punta del Este. In addition, the profile of those opposed to nightlife is different: In Ibiza, Critics predominate, with a generally contrary response, but recognizing positive elements, whilst in Punta del Este, Negatives predominate, with systematically negative responses to all items.

Desde los noventa, se han propuesto modelos causales que buscan explicar las actitudes de los residentes a partir de los beneficios y costes percibidos. El objetivo de este trabajo es determinar si existen diferencias significativas entre dos destinos parecidos. La comparativa fue realizada entre Ibiza (418 residentes) y Maldonado-Punta del Este (360 residentes). Para el análisis del modelo causal propuesto el método estadístico utilizado fue la regresión de Mínimos Cuadrados Parciales (PLS). El análisis multigrupo encontró diferencias significativas en uno de los efectos causales analizados. En dos relaciones causales la diferencia era importante, aunque no lo suficientemente significativa para concluir que existían diferencias entre ambos destinos. La principal conclusión es que los modelos causales no son generales y las prioridades de los residentes varían de un destino a otro.
