This study aims to analyze the gaps and potential of Jambi local wisdom as a basis for the development of science textbooks. This research was a qualitative descriptive study. The research subjects were students of class VIIIE and VIIIF at SMPN 1 Muaro Jambi, which totaled 43 people and science teachers. This study uses the instruments to observations sheet and questionnaires for students and teachers. Data were analyzed descriptively. The results show that; (1) the science textbooks available at SMPN 1 Muaro Jambi not yet have integrated into Jambi local wisdom and there are no questions about scientific literacy; (2) the results of observations indicate that the supporting facilities in science learning such as laboratories are still lacking, but other facilities such as classrooms and library are quite good; (3) material that can be integrated with Jambi local wisdom including substance pressure, vibrations, waves, sound and optical.

Pendidikan sangatlah penting dalam kehidupan manusia. Seseorang yang mempunyai pendidikan bagus, tidak dapat dibodohi dengan mudah. Namun kondisi perekonomian dan paradigma masyarakat berbanding terbalik dengan kebutuhan pendidikan yang seharusnya terpenuhi. Beberapa orang tua di kampung Tambat kabupaten Merauke lebih memilih anaknya membantu mencari ikan atau membantu memangkur sagu daripada harus pergi ke sekolah dari pagi sampai siang. Hal ini berakibat, anak usia sekolah sering terlihat berada di luar sekolah pada saat jam sekolah sehingga ilmu yang seharusnya diperoleh tidak didapatkan dengan baik. Mayoritas kegiatan masyarakat sehari-hari adalah bertani dan berburu. Namun untuk beberapa jenis sayuran dan bumbu dapur, masyarakat lebih memilih untuk membeli karena tidak mengetahui prosedur dan cara penanamannya. Pengabdian ini dilakukan untuk meningkatkan dan mengembangkan pemahaman pengetahuan matematika anak usia sekolah berbasis kearifan lokal Papua di kampung Tambat dan masyarakat yang mengikuti pelatihan menanam sayur dan bumbu dapur di halaman dapat menerapkannya dan merawat di halaman rumah masing-masing untuk meningkatkan kemandirian hidup masyarakat. Meskipun kegiatan ini dilaksanakan pada masa pandemi covid-19, namun antusias masyarakat sangat baik dalam menerima tim untuk melaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian ini yang dilakukan sesuai dengan protokol kesehatan yang telah ditetapkan pemerintah

The aim of this research is to produce a valid e-flipbook on science learning content for water pollution that integrated with illegal sand mining activities in a river basin to enhance environmental care attitude. The research method used was research and development with ADDIE models that are limited to the developing stage. The research sample consisted of 20 seventh grade students of junior high school. The average validation resulted by media expert is 3,5 and content expert is 3,6 with very good category, the result of validation by science teacher is on average 3,6 with very good category and peer reviewer obtained an average value of 3,7 with very good category, the results of validation by 20 students obtained an average value of 3,7 with very good categories. Research data were analyzed and interpreted using descriptive analysis. Based on the results of development and validation, this e-flipbook can be concluded valid and can be applied in learning. This research is important because it uses technology and raises issues about environmental problems
