The present review is dedicated to using of peat on the example of fen peat in high added-value products and applications. Mainly, but not limited, last decade literature was analysed from the perspective of innovation potential of peat applications in environmental technologies on examples of studies from the Baltic Sea region. Paper covers a wide range of applications of peat products started from agriculture to medicine and cosmetics. A separate chapter is devoted to the deep-processed peat product - humic substances (humate, humic and fulvic salts and acids). Generalised dependence of product extraction rate and its properties, depending on the process parameters are provided. Widely are described applications of the humic sub-stance applications covering economic aspects, such as production costs. In the last chapter of the review are given recommendations for applications considering the most recent trends of peat-based product developments. This accumulated information could be useful for future production, development of new, environmentally friendly products and start-ups establishment.

У трирічному виробничому експерименті досліджувалися особливості формування врожайності кукурудзи: аналіз урожайності в сівозміні; вплив передпосівної обробки насіння; вплив системи удоб-рення, густоти сівби та швидкості руху посівного агрегату на врожайність. Встановлено, що за-стосування органічних добрив у вигляді гною великої рогатої худоби в кількості 50 т/га компенсує негативний вплив небажаного попередника, наприклад, соняшнику, під який ця норма вноситься.Урожайність кукурудзи в такому разі була найбільшою і становила 9,7 … 11,1 т/га, показники вро-жайності після пшениці становили 9,4 … 10,5 т/га. В умовах використання великої кількості добрив,особливо застосування гною великої рогатої худоби, попередники неістотно впливають на форму-вання врожайності зерна. Зокрема врожайність гібридів кукурудзи ТМ Pioneer після пшениці озимоїстановила в середньому 9,83 т/га, а після соняшнику – 10,2 т/га, що має різницю лише 3,7 %. Найме-ншу врожайність отримано в разі розміщення кукурудзи після посівів цієї ж культури на зерно тасилос – відповідно 9,3 та 9,57 т/га. Найменша врожайність спостерігалася в повторних посівах ку-курудзи, що підтверджують узагальнені попередні дослідження. Встановлено, що за умови інтенси-вного забезпечення посівів органо-мінеральними добривами гібриди кукурудзи реалізують свій гене-тичний потенціал незалежно від умов року вирощування. Використання норми азотних добрив у кі-лькості 150 кг/га виявилося найефективнішим незалежно від умов року вирощування. Ефективнимприйомом управління врожайністю кукурудзи є передпосівна обробка насіння сумішшю протруйниківі гумінових стимуляторів, що сприяє кращому формуванню кореневої та надземної частини й даєзмогу більшою мірою контролювати ураження проростків хворобами. В умовах нестійкого зволо-ження найбільша врожайність досягнута за норм висіву 80 … 85 тис. насінин на 1 га, проте нормивисіву доцільно обґрунтовувати економічно. Оптимальною швидкістю руху агрегату для сівби куку-рудзи є 10 км/год. Зменшення чи збільшення цього параметру призводило до зменшення врожайності,що пояснюється нерівномірним розподілом насіння та неоднаковою глибиною його розміщення у ґру-нті. Швидкість руху необхідно встановлювати залежно від технічних характеристик агрегату тастану ґрунту на момент сівби.

The combined application of organic fertilizer with mineral fertilizer increases the yield of sugarcane. It promotes greater residual beneficial effect in relation to the use of each fertilizer in isolation. The organo-mineral fertilizer presents gradual solubilization during the period of development of the crop. Thus, when compared to soluble mineral sources, its agronomic efficiency may be higher. Various types of organic material can be used, such as pig manure, poultry litter, filter cake and sewage sludge, among others. Organic matter is responsible for maintaining and increasing soil porosity to improve water retention and to ensure soil microbial balance. The efficiency in nourishing the sugarcane crops or availing the available nutrients is maximized. The use of biostimulants in world agriculture has achieved significant growth rates in the last decades. Hormone compounds ensure the sustainability of crops. It can be an alternative to improve plant nutrition, support of abiotic and biotic stresses. They act in the activation and potentiation of the metabolism of the cells, give more vigor to the immune system and help to enable the physiological processes in the different stages of development. The emergence and use of new technologies is the way to achieve greater productivity, sustainability and profitability.
