The Profile of the Academic Production on Men’s Artistic Gymnastics From the Web of Science and Scopus

The objective of this study was to describe the scientific production on men’s artistic gymnastics (MAG) in journals indexed on the Scopus and Web of Science platforms. To this end, we searched on both platforms for the keywords “men’s artistic gymnastics” and "male artistic gymnastics", with a non-specified date range. After applying the exclusion criteria, 52 scientific articles were found, distributed between 1994 and 2019. The year with the highest number of publications so far is 2018, with emphasis on the period between 2014 and 2018. The authors who contributed the most were Maurice Yeadon and Michael Hiley (both from British universities), Marco Bortoleto (from Brazil), and Ivan Čuk (from Slovenia). There is a predominance of MAG-related articles in the Science of Gymnastics Journal (21%), followed by the Journal of Biomechanics (7%). The articles deal with the biomechanics of gymnastics (34%), the rules of the sport and its judging (19%), the social, historical and political aspects of gymnastics (14%), morphological characteristics of athletes (10%), athletes’ health (10%), gymnastics training aspects (8%), and finally, analyses of athletes’ age over the years (6%).

A ginástica sofreu inúmeras modificações ao longo da história. Passou pela ginástica que fortalecia o espírito patriótico até a ginástica geral com sentido pedagógico. O objetivo do estudo foi analisar a importância do ensino da Ginástica Geral à formação humana do praticante/aluno, debatendo o ensino de valores sócio culturais a partir a partir de uma revisão bibliográfica. Este estudo teve caráter explicativo. A Ginástica Geral proporciona um vasto acervo de atividades, podendo alcançar o praticante/aluno em sua totalidade (biopsicossocial). A possível ausência de competição possibilita a participação dos mais variados grupos sociais, podendo utilizar da cultural corporal deles para produção de coreografias. Conclui-se que a Ginástica Geral pode ser um espaço de inclusão, superação de preconceitos e paradigmas sociais, podendo ser um meio de aprendizagem sócio afetiva e de cidadania, utilizando gestos motores e equipamentos típicos e atípicos das ginásticas, sendo necessário a criatividade coletiva para elaborar coreografias diversas, respeitando a individualidade, porém compartilhando seu saber e sua história, a partir de sua cultura corporal.

This study aims to produce a product in the form of an android-based floor exercise application learning at SD Negeri 113 Jambi City. The background of the problem in this study is that some students at school are still not able to do good and correct basic gymnastic movements because some students still do not understand the correct steps of movement so that they experience obstacles in learning. This floor exercise application has been developed accurately, incorporating the latest movements, techniques, and practical, easy-to-use rules in learning. This research was conducted at Public Elementary School 113 with research subjects namely students of SD N 113 Jambi City. The research method used is the ADDIE model development research. The steps of this research start from analysis, design, development, implementation to evaluation. The results of the analysis of the research data show that the percentage score of the product trials carried out is 80% to 90% in the good category so that it can be concluded that this android-based floor gymnastics application product is suitable for use by students and teachers, especially sports.
