Green Synthesis of Zinc Oxide Nanoparticles and Its Biomedical Applications: A Review

Abstract: The rise of nanotechnology has brought to the world a new potential and broader perspective of what humanity can achieve through material manipulation at the nanoscale. In the past two decades, ZnO NPs have become one of the most popular metal oxide nanoparticles in biological applications due to their excellent biocompatibility, economic, and low toxicity. Interestingly, the green method of synthesis using plant sources have been found appropriate for the production of ZnO NPs dues to its numerous health, env… Show more

“…An energy dispersive x-ray diffractive (E-D-X) analysis was conducted for biosynthesized TiO 2 nanoparticles to identify elementals compositions. A dispersive energy spectrum of sample attained from the scanning electron microscope (SEM) to energy dispersive X-ray diffractive (EDX) analysis displays that samples synthesized by the route have pure TiO 2 anatase and ructile phases 68 70 . An energy dispersive x-ray diffractive (EDX) approves the existence of Ti and oxygen indications of Titanium dioxide Nanoparticles as displayed in Fig.…”

“…Nanoparticles may trigger good water permeability, antioxidant activity, biocompatibility, biodegradability, and lower or no toxicity, as advantages compared to commercial contrast agents used in biomedical applications [28][29][30][31]. Compared with such pure conventional chemo drugs, nanosized conjugates may provide for better drug therapy through prolonged circulation and targeted treatment.…”

“…(Hamrayev et al,2020). ZnO NPs have been a promising potential in biomedicine, particularly in the cancer and antibacterial fields in their powerful capability of stimulating the production and release of reactive oxygen radicals (ROS) and induce apoptosis (Hamrayev et al,2021). The use of nanoparticles for targeted drug delivery is a fertile research area for effective treatment of cancer.…”
