O aceclofenaco é um fármaco anti-inflamatório não-esteroidal, indicado para o tratamento de diversos processos dolorosos e inflamatórios, podendo ser incorporado em diversas formulações farmacêuticas. Formas farmacêuticas líquidas, como as suspensões orais são indicadas para melhorar a adesão ao tratamento de pacientes que possuem dificuldades para deglutir. O objetivo deste trabalho foi produzir uma suspensão oral contendo aceclofenaco como princípio ativo, bem como, realizar o controle de qualidade da formulação para avaliar sua estabilidade. Foram produzidas quatro formulações, avaliadas quanto a características organolépticas, solubilidade, teor, velocidade de sedimentação, redispersibilidade, pH, ponto de fusão e controle microbiológico. Quanto ao teor, o resultado encontrado foi de 114,5%. A análise do pH das suspensões F1 (4.7 ± 0.057), F2 (4.6 ± 0.251), F3 (4.9 ± 0.251) e F4 (4.3 ± 0.251) foi realizado em triplicata, e as médias obtidas estiveram na faixa apontada pela literatura. Apenas as suspensões F1 e F2 apresentaram baixa velocidade de sedimentação 3h e 4h respectivamente. Quanto ao teste de redispersibilidade, a formulação F1 apresentou-se facilmente redispersível quando agitada, enquanto as suspensões F2, F3 e F4 apresentarem dificuldades de redispersão. Durante a análise de controle microbiológico, não houve crescimento de fungos e bactérias nas placas. Conclui-se, portanto que a formulação F1 foi a única formulação que atendeu a todos os critérios de aceitação definidos para uma suspensão, apresentando boa aparência e consistência, facilidade de redispersão, sedimentação, além de aspecto homogêneo e viável em termos de análises físico-químicas. Abstract Aceclofenac is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, indicated for the treatment of various painful and inflammatory processes, and can be incorporated into several pharmaceutical formulations. Liquid dosage forms, such as oral suspensions, are indicated to improve adherence to the treatment of patients who have difficulty swallowing. The objective of this work was to produce an oral suspension containing aceclofenac as an active ingredient, as well as to perform the formulation quality control to evaluate its stability. Four formulations were produced, evaluated for organoleptic characteristics, solubility, content, sedimentation speed, redispersibility, pH, melting point and microbiological control. As for the content, the result found was 114.5%. The pH analysis of suspensions F1 (4.7 ± 0.057), F2 (4.6 ± 0.251), F3 (4.9 ± 0.251) and F4 (4.3 ± 0.251) was performed in triplicate, and the averages obtained were in the range indicated by the literature. Only suspensions F1 and F2 showed low sedimentation speed 3h and 4h, respectively. As for the redispersibility test, formulation F1 was easily redispersible when stirred, while suspensions F2, F3 and F4 exhibited difficulties in redispersion. During the microbiological control analysis, there was no fungi and bacteria growth on the plates. It is concluded, therefore, that the formulation F1 was the only formulation that met all the acceptance criteria defined for a suspension, presenting good appearance and consistency, ease of redispersion, sedimentation, in addition to a homogeneous and viable aspect in physical-chemical terms. Present investigation was undertaken with a view to develop fast dissolving tablets of Telmisartan which offers a new range of product having desired characteristics and intended benefits. Fast dissolving tablets of Telmisartan using various superdisintegrants such as Sodium Starch Glycolate (SSG), Crosspovidone (CP) and Crosscarmellose sodium (CCS) were formulated by direct compression method and evaluated for physicochemical parameters, content uniformity, in vitro release and stability studies. All the formulation batches showed drug release in the range of 98.6%-100.6% within 20 min. Disintegration time of all batches was less than 1 min. The best formulation F6 containing 5% CP and 2.5% â-cyclodextrin exhibited 98.8% drug release within 15 min and disintegration time of 13 sec. The formulation F6 was found to be stable at accelerated conditions of temperature and humidity (40 o C and 75% RH). Fast dissolving tablets containing crosspovidone (5%) was found to give best results for in vitro disintegration and dissolution. Moreover, addition of â-cyclodextrin (2.5% w/w) might have enhanced swelling of tablet, thereby decreasing the disintegration time and increased wettability and dispersability of tablets leading to improved dissolution.

Background: Tablet manufacturing with direct compression is one of the leading industrial technique that consumes less time, labour and economic also. But the choice of excipients are critical in this case which will allow the drug to get compressed without granulation techniques. Purpose: Aceclofenac is a BCS class II non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, which exerts a low oral bioavailability because of low solubility in aqueous medium. The drug also suffers from compressibility and also shows poor tabletibility. Methods: We have attempted to improve tabletability by incorporating titanium dioxide (TiO 2) through kneading and solvent evaporation technique. Results: In the FTIR study revealed that NH and Cl aromatic stretching of aceclofenac has been affected significantly due to binding with TiO 2. DSC thermogram ascertained the partial amorphization of the drug in the formulations. Evaluated tabletability from the area under the applied pressure vs tensile strength curve (AUTC) of A1T1 has shown a poor value in contrast to other formulations.
