The implementation of this research is based on the problems found at the time of observation, namely the difficulty of students learning, especially in science learning that has an impact on student learning outcomes and learning that is still teacher-centered that causes students to be passive. Based on these problems, this study aims to improve the learning outcomes of science students in grade V elementary school. This type of research is a quasi-experimental design with Nonequivalent Control Group Design. The research design used is the post-test only control group design. The population in this study amounted to 147 students consisting of four classes. The determination of the sample is done by random sampling in the form of a draw. The number of samples was 72 students, namely the experimental class totaling 36 students and the control class totaling 36 students. The students' natural science post-test data collection is done by using multiple-choice objective test methods. Then, the t-test formula was analyzed. From the results of the analysis, it was shown that t-count = 3,920 was obtained and compared with t-table at the 5% significance level and dk = 36 + 36-2 = 70 so that the price of t-table = 1.99444 was obtained. Based on these results, there are significant differences in science learning outcomes between the classes given the treatment of the TSTS learning model aided by the mind mapping method and the classes given the treatment of conventional learning models. The results of the calculations obtained the experimental class has a higher mean than the control class, which is 79.06>68.75. Based on this, the TSTS learning model is assisted by an effective mind mapping method to the science learning outcomes of fifth-grade students of elementary school.

Background: Dental caries may lead to premature loss of the deciduous tooth. If it is left untreated it will lead to abnormal occlusion in children. The appliance used for preventive orthodontic is a space maintainer (SM). The existing appliance is rigid so far and does not follow the jaw growth. Thus, innovative design is required. Purpose: This study aims to compare the Triple Junction Telescopic Tube (TJTT SM) and Space Maintainer Type I (SM Type I) clinical result in terms of intermolar distance. Methods: This research is a clinical experiment non-randomized controlled trial research design. The subject was children ranging from 6-14 years old. The sample is taken with consecutive (non-probability sampling) and open-label, involving 30 subjects with SM type I treatment and 30 subjects with TJTT SM treatment, at Dental Hospital of Universitas Muhammadiyah Yogyakarta. Results: The results showed that the difference intermolar distances were 1.09 mm TJTT SM and 0.87 mm SM Type I. Conclusion: The conclusion is TJTT SM is capable of following the growth and development of the jaw in lateral (based on intermolar 1.09 mm) and anterior (1.12 mm) also needs to be further developed.

Abstract RPTRA is a community established by the DKI Jakarta government in order to improve the quality of life of its citizens, which in this case is specifically to support the growth and development of children, the comfort of parents and the comfort of its citizens in interacting. Children's growth and development is a mandatory thing that must be considered by parents, therefore the role of parents in providing care is important. In providing care, parents must have good care and observation of their children. If parents pay less attention and care to their children, it is feared that children will have difficulty in completing their developmental tasks. At this community service activity, the implementing team will provide material presentations about care and attention that will be conveyed through the lecture method. The results show that there are many variants of answers from the participants regarding parenting, the participants also better understand how to be parents who care and pay attention to their children. This activity still has limitations in the form of small stimuli, because the material provided is still only providing additional knowledge to parents. Follow-up activities are still needed so that parents can also apply knowledge effectively to their children. Then for the government, especially the RPTRA administrators, it is hoped that they can hold programs that can increase the bond between parents and children. Keywords: Children, Parents, Caring, Observing, Parenting Abstrak RPTRA merupakan komunitas yang didirikan oleh pemerintah DKI Jakarta guna untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup para warganya yang dalam hal ini khusus kepada mendukung tumbuh kembang anak, kenyaman orang tua serta kenyamanan warganya dalam berinteraksi. Tumbuh kembang anak merupakan hal wajib yang harus diperhatikan oleh para orang tua, oleh karena itu peran orang tua dalam memberikan pengasuhan merupakan hal penting. Dalam memberikan pengasuhan, orang tua harus memiliki kepedulian dan pengamatan yang baik terhadap anak-anaknya. Apabila orang tua kurang memperhatikan dan peduli kepada anaknya, maka dikhawatirkan anak akan kesulitan dalam menyelesaikan tugas-tugas perkembangannya. Pada kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat kali ini tim pelaksana akan memberikan pemaparan materi mengenai kepedulian dan perhatian yang akan disampaikan melalui metode ceramah. Hasilnya menunjukan banyak varian jawaban dari para peserta kegiatan mengenai pengasuhan, para peserta pun lebih memahami bagaimana menjadi orang tua yang peduli dan memperhatikan anak. Kegiatan ini masih memiliki keterbatasan berupa rangsangan kecil, karena materi yang diberikan masih sekedar memberikan tambahan pengetahuan kepada orang tua. Kegiatan lanjutan masih diperlukan agar orang tua juga dapat mempraktekan pengetahuan secara efektif kepada anak-anaknya. Kemudian bagi pemerintah khususnya para pengurus RPTRA, diharapkan dapat mengadakan program-program yang dapat meningkatkan kelekatan orang tua dan anak.
