This study offers a qualitative comparison of risk factors for youth violence from the perspectives of community stakeholders in a low-income, urban community experiencing elevated rates of violence. One-on-one interviews were conducted with 36 community stakeholders across three key categories: 10 community residents who cared for youth living in the community, 15 program or service providers, and 11 leaders in community agencies and organizations. A grounded theory approach was used for data collection and analysis to extract themes that emerged from the question, "What are the things in the community that lead to youth violence?" While there was significant overlap in stakeholders' beliefs about precursors to youth violence, important differences also emerged. In order for youth violence prevention strategies to be successful, they must consider and address risk factors identified by community stakeholders involved in the implementation and sustainability.

Aim To report an analysis of the concept of community empowerment. Design Concept analysis. Data Sources Literature published in the CINAHL, PubMed, Scopus and Medline electronic databases from 2016 to 2022 were systematically searched from 30 July to 1 October 2022. Method The amended guideline from Walker and Avant's approach (2011) to concept analysis was performed in nine stages: choosing a concept, determining the purpose of analysis, identifying definitions of the concept, defining attributes, identifying a model case, identifying antecedents, identifying consequences, defining empirical referents and applying the concept to nursing practice. Results Community empowerment is a fundamental idea in health promotion that may assist communities in defining priorities, making choices, developing strategies and executing them to improve health and minimize inequalities in health. Community empowerment is an effective tool that advanced practice nurses (APNs) may employ to eliminate health inequities and promote community health. Conclusion This concept analysis is one step towards broadening nurses' understanding of one of the ideas of health promotion. Additionally, the concept of community empowerment represents an opportunity for additional research in nursing that is applicable to communities. Impact Community empowerment has served as a guiding paradigm for both theory and practice in health promotion. Also, it is recognized that social, economic and environmental elements have a direct effect on health status. However, community empowerment research in advanced nursing practices is limited. This paper will guide future nursing research on community empowerment that goes beyond involvement and engagement, for this is an effective strategy APNs can use to address health disparities and improve community health.

This article discusses culture and social issues in the community related to herbal medicine used for health communication and community empowerment in Bandar Lampung. Additionally, herbal medicine plays a significant role in empowering families from the dependence of conventional medicine and developing traditional medicine. A good health level of community is an asset of Indonesia's human development that is independent, healthy, and strong. Using the qualitative research approach, the data source consisted of interviews, deep observations, and documentation. The results are herbal medicine 1) empowers the community for better family finance, 2) empowers people to get a job, 3) creates a new paradigm, making herbal medicine the first treatment choice when one is sick, instead of conventional medicine (medics). This study's findings describe the culture of the Indonesian people who are accustomed to drinking herbal medicine. Therefore, traditional herbal medicine needs to be empowered as a unique Indonesian culture, as it is possible to combine herbal and conventional medicines. This research contributes to policymakers to make herbal treatment models holistically, to support Program Indonesia Sehat (Indonesian General Health Program).
