Covid-19 pandemic has affected all parts of human life. It affects health, as well as socio and economic aspects. In this situation, high empathy should follow the implementation of physical distancing to reduce the spread of the virus. However, anti-social behavior has mostly materialized. This study aims to explore the spiritual effect on students' empathy during the Covid-19 pandemic. It observes if spirituality predicts empathy and the other way around. 1004 university students from 65 universities in East Java, Indonesia, were recruited to give responses from a set of questionnaires. Smart-PLS application was used to analyze the statistical data. Findings uncovered that this measurement model is valid and reliable for spirituality (Spiritual Assessment Scale=SAS) and empathy (Interpersonal Reactivity Index=IRI) construct. Through a structural model, our study also found that spirituality and empathy have a significant reciprocal relationship (with a path coefficient of 0.564). Spirituality predicts empathy and the other way around. Our findings suggest that universities' counseling units apply spiritual strategies in counseling activities to accelerate students' empathy during the Covid-19 pandemic and to anticipate the future crisis.

Undergraduate students balance course requirements for the university, college, school, and major. Each set of requirements, including degree-specific curriculum, is intended to promote synergistic interaction of competence, skills, and knowledge, beyond serving as a collection of individual courses. Understanding of curriculum is important for program recruitment as undergraduate students are more informed when deciding between bachelor's degrees options. Among cohorted programs, this understanding is also helpful in communicating and promoting common intellectual experiences. Comprehension of curriculum is especially important for persistence when students are better able to articulate the connections between course and competencies needed to advance in coursework. To improve universal design for learning within program advising, visual curriculum maps were created as infographics to support student understanding of Bachelor of Arts in Public Health degree requirements and specific capstone course pathways. This map is printed as a small booklet and has been pilot tested among prospective students with positive feedback, then implemented in routine advising sessions. Visual maps of capstone requirements were well-received in concept, however constructive student feedback during pilot testing necessitated further revision. Student feedback also encouraged the application of culturally appropriate visuals and analogies to celebrate student diversity. Visual aids such as these may improve access to information among students through universal design, and also improve recruitment, retention efforts, and student buy-in to degree curricula.

The purpose of this study was conducted to determine the emphasis of Muhammadiyah and cultural propaganda to non-Muslim students through multicultural education. The study uses a qualitative method and purposive sampling to select the subjects, namely non-Muslim students, lectures of multicultural education, and AIK. Data were collected through interviews, observation, file notes, and analyzed in one circle among data collection, categories, reading, memoing, description, classification, interpretation, and visualization. The result is (1) after applying four multicultural education approaches, such as contribution, additive, transformation, and social action approaches, the values of Muhammadiyah can be emphasized and do not undermine their non-Muslim religious. Furthermore, they realize that Muhammadiyah is an Islamic organization that is inclusive and pluralist. On the other hand, (2) cultural and lectures use community propaganda as a learning strategy to explain the values of Muhammadiyah to be accepted by non-Muslim students. AbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penanaman kemuhammadiyahan dan dakwah kultural Muhammadiyah pada mahasiswa non-Muslim melalui pendidikan multikultural. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan penentuan subjek purposive sampling yang terdiri dari mahasiswa non-Muslim, dosen pendidikan multikultural, dan dosen AIK. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan catatan lapangan yang dianalisis dengan teknik lingkaran yang bergerak di antara pengumpulan data, pengorganisasian data, pembacaan, memoing, deskripsi, klasifikasi, penafsiran, penyajian dan visualisasi. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa (1) setelah diterapkan empat pendekatan pendidikan multikultural, yaitu pendekatan kontribusi, aditif, tranformasi dan aksi sosial, maka nilai-nilai kemuhammadiyaan pada mahasiswa non-Muslim dapat ditumbuhkan dan tidak melunturkan keyakinan mereka terhadap agamanya. Selanjutnya mereka menyadari bahwa Muhammadiyah adalah sebuah organisasi Islam yang bersikap inklusif dan pluralis. Selain itu, (2) dakwah kultural dan komunitas digunakan oleh dosen sebagai strategi pembelajaran untuk menjelaskan nilai-nilai kemuhammadiyaan agar bisa diterima oleh mahasiswa non-Muslim.
