Abstract:Ultraprecision optical systems such as high-energy laser systems have very strict requirements for surface defects of optical components. Comet-shaped defects are common in magnetorheological finishing, which is one of the main ultraprecision manufacturing technologies. Computational fluid dynamics is used to simulate the pressure and velocity of the magnetorheological fluid in pits during magnetorheological finishing for the first time, to the best of our knowledge. The simulation model analyzes the distribut… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
