The main objective is to verify whether it is possible to confirm differences in price policy not only in the division of chains according to the format of the shops but also in relation to Czech and foreign food and whether these findings can be clearly identified. The partial objective is to find the difference between Czech and foreign products in the context of chain approach according to other criteria such as price differences among products and among chains. There are eleven chains evaluated in the tables as well as 29 relevant food groups. The used underlying data is based on the data processed from the primary data obtained by the data collection in the retail chains. The average number of observations of one item, which is about 43 observations, of which 37 observations of Czech products and about 29 products with price. Only Lidl has a higher number of price observations from the total number of observations of foreign products. In the area of price policy evaluation (whether it is possible to confirm the differences not only in the division of the chains according to the format of the stores, but also in relation to Czech and foreign foods and identify clearly these findings), the difference is considered mainly according to the "low price" of food and it can be said that there are noticeable differences among the chains, which also confirm different approach to Czech and foreign food and differences according to the format of chain stores. This paper originated in the context of the exploratory study "Prices of selected Czech and foreign food products in retail chains in November 2016". The study was created for the needs of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Czech Republic.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives often help businesses in the form of competitive advantage. Because of these initiatives it is difficult to realize the full value of strategic CSR. CSR can be divided into many areas of business, but the most well-known triple bottom line theory divides CSR into 3 basic areas: environmental, social and economic. In this article we reviewed CSR of the wellknown food chain -Lidl in the context of corporate social responsibility. We focused mainly on the environment part of Lidl´s CSR. We described the CSR policy of the retail chain and suggested the necessary improvements. Our aim was to focus specifically on Lidl's actions and to point out the perception of their programs to deal with food waste, as this is currently a serious problem. The question of food waste is very important nowadays, because we have problems with hunger in some countries and on the other hand we have food waste problems because of the surplus of food. Distribution should be more even. Large food chains such as Lidl have an important role to play in wasting food. The problem of the food waste affects similar food chains much more, as food demand is steadily increasing. Food losses and food waste are responsible for 3.3 trillion tons of greenhouse gases. Improving the situation of food losses and food waste is considered to be a significant factor in reducing emissions.

Agriculture is one of the leading and largest economic sectors in the nation of Uzbekistan. The share of employees in the agricultural sector is 33% of the population. The annual growth rate of the agricultural sector is 1.7%, and it accounts for 18% of GDP. Agriculture provides jobs for approximately 15 million people, many of whom are part-time workers. During the years 2000-2018, the value of agrarian trade turnover increased from cc 520 million USD to 2.8 billion USD. This paper examines Uzbek foreign trade in agricultural products from the following perspectives: trade balance of Uzbekistan and international competitiveness. The intention of the paper is to determine changes in the character of agricultural trade. Changes in the product structure are identified, and individual changes are explained. The comparative advantages are analyzed according to different groups of countries (Asian countries without CIS countries, CIS without Asian countries, EU28 without other European countries, other European countries without EU and CIS countries, and developing countries). Agrarian trade competitiveness and territorial and commodity structure changes are analyzed for the last 19 years (2000-2018). The commodity structure of agricultural trade is analyzed on the basis of the standard Harmonized System. The source of information in the article is UN COMTRADE.
