“…At six months, the child must be introduced to semi-solid or solid foods also known as complementary feeding to meet the dietary requirements [7]. UNICEF [ (2019: pg1] de ned Minimum dietary diversity (MDD) as: "The consumption of four or more food groups from the seven food groups for higher dietary quality and to meet daily energy and nutrient requirements of the seven recommended food groups namely: grains, roots and tubers; legumes and nuts; dairy products; esh foods (meat, sh, poultry and organ meats); eggs; vitamin A rich fruits and vegetables; other fruits and vegetables.…”
