Conflitos de interesse: nada a declarar. ResumoObjetivo: Comparar o tempo de execução do banho no leito pelo método tradicional e a seco e seus efeitos sobre as alterações oxi-hemodinâmicas em pacientes críticos.Métodos: Ensaio clínico randomizado crossover, aberto, com 50 pacientes submetidos aos dois tipos de banho no leito: tradicional e a seco. Avaliou-se o tempo de execução dos banhos e as variáveis oxi-hemodinâmicas (temperatura timpânica e axilar, saturação de oxigênio arterial, frequência respiratória, frequência cardíaca e pressão arterial média), obtidas no início dos banhos, aos dez minutos, no início e no fim da lateralização dos pacientes, ao final do procedimento e 15 minutos depois. Para análise utilizou-se Teste T de Student pareado e modelo de equações de estimação generalizadas.Resultados: O banho no leito a seco foi executado em menor tempo que o tradicional (18,59 versus 26,45 minutos; p<0,001). No banho tradicional, ao longo do tempo, houve redução da temperatura axilar e elevação da frequência respiratória (p<0,001). No banho a seco, apenas a temperatura axilar sofreu alteração, tornando-se menor que o valor inicial (p<0,001).Conclusão: O banho a seco foi superior ao tradicional em decorrência do menor tempo de execução e menor instabilidade oxi-hemodinâmica dos pacientes entre os períodos observados. A monitorização dos pacientes é fundamental para identificar tais alterações.

BACKGROUND: Perineal injury is an injury to the urogenital diaphragm and levator ani muscle, which occurs during normal delivery, or vaginal delivery, can occur without injury to the perineal or vaginal skin. Perineal wounds become one of the breeding media for germs so that it becomes the cause of puerperal infection. Perineal infection can occur because the location of the perineum is moist so that it becomes a breeding ground for bacteria. Incidence of infection that occurs in the perineal wound can spread to the birth canal or urinary tract. Infectious conditions in the perineal wound will slow down the wound healing process, because it can increase the damage to the supporting tissues of the skin. AIM: This systematic review aims to see how postnatal perineal wound care: Epidemiology, impact, and future interventions. METHODS: Researchers searched for quantitative studies published between 2017 and 2021, using PubMed, Elsevier, and Google Scholar. Thirty studies in systematics review. RESULTS: The studies that have been collected that there are nine studies discussing the effect of therapies given to the treatment of perineal wounds in studies that discuss therapy two studies including discussing infrared lamp therapy, one study discussing the effects of mastic oleoresin, one study discussing betel leaf decoction, one study discussing the effectiveness of Aloe vera, one study discussing the effects of cinnamon, one study discussed the application of negative pressure sores, one study discussed the effect of pineapple fruit juice, and one other study discussed the effects of carvacrol, tymol, and olive oil. Then, two studies discussed the prevalence of perineal wound events and three studies discussed the characteristics of perineum wounds. CONCLUSION: This systematic review evaluates and synthesizes the effectiveness of intervention methods of perineal wound pain reduction and perineal wound healing (episiotomy) and improves comfort in consideration of the methodological evidence level of stud patients’ comfort.

Background Friction irritation by wiping increases the risk of skin problems. In bed baths with cotton towels, wiping three times with weak pressure (10–20 mmHg ≈ 1333–2666 Pa) can remove dirt while maintaining skin barrier function. However, few studies have examined the appropriate frictional irritation with disposable towels. This study aimed to analyse the wiping pressure and number of wipes currently applied by nurses when using disposable towels during bed baths and propose the minimum values for removing dirt from the skin. Methods This multi-study approach consisted of cross-sectional and crossover design components. In Study 1, 101 nurses in two hospitals were observed by recording the wiping pressure and number of wipes when using both disposable (nonwoven) and cotton (woven) towels. Wiping pressure and number of wipes by towel materials were analysed using a linear mixed model. In Study 2, 50 adults received oily and aqueous dirt on their forearms, which were wiped six-times with disposable towels, applying randomly assigned pressure categories. We used colour image analysis and a linear mixed model to estimate the dirt removal rate for each combination of wiping pressure and number of wipes. Results Study 1 showed that although wiping pressure did not differ by towel material, the number of wipes was significantly higher for disposable wipes than cotton wipes. Approximately 5% of nurses applied strong wiping pressure or wiped too often. In Study 2, wiping three times with disposable towels at least 5–10 mmHg achieved dirt removal rates of ≥80%. Conclusions Some nurses excessively wiped using disposable towels, which might cause skin problems. However, excessive wiping is not required to adequately remove dirt, regardless of the towel material used in various clinical situations. We recommend wiping at 10–20 mmHg of pressure (just like stroking gently) at least three times to improve the quality of bed baths. These findings highlight the need to develop skin-friendly bed bath educational programmes, particularly using appropriate frictional irritation to reduce the risk of skin problems.
