Ecotourism KEE Kili-Kili beach, located in Trenggalek Regency, is rich in biodiversity and natural beauty. Valuation is needed to determine the use value or benefits of resources and the environment. Economic value of resources that offer natural beauty, in general, are non-market (does not have a market price) because they are public goods. This study aims to estimate the potential economic value of KEE ecotourism at Taman Kili-Kili beach, Trenggalek Regency. This study is a quantitative study with multiple linear regression analysis to determine the factors that influence the number of tourist visits. Meanwhile, to find out the economic value, the individual travel cost method (ITCM) is used. The results showed that only the motivation variable had a significant effect on the number of visits variable. The economic potential of ecotourism KEE at Taman Kili-Kili beach reaches Rp. 34,580,440,612/year. The magnitude of the value of the economic benefits of natural resources and the ecotourism environment of the Taman Kili-Kili KEE coast is expected by managers and related stakeholders to improve ecotourism management by adding tourist facilities and attractions to provide more satisfaction for visitors. In addition, the improvement of the access road to the location is very necessary in order to provide convenience and comfort in reaching the location.

The government commits to reduce emissions in the energy sector by using new and renewable energy by targeting the development of geothermal power plants (GPP) of 7,241.5 MW in 2025. Approximately 58% of geothermal potential is in forest areas with a carbon absorption function. This study will calculate the potential loss of carbon stock and the economic valuation of the carbon sequestration function in forest areas. The location of study is Mount Ciremai National Park (MCNP). The study was conducted on 4022.37 hectares which will be used as the location of the initial study and geothermal exploration area. The potential area of GPP location is divided into: avoid area, minimize area, restore area, and utilization area, considering the land slope level and zoning. The potential carbon stock lost due to the entry of the GPP project in MCNP is 168,311.99 tons of CO2, or 17.95% of the total potential carbon stock in the study area. The economic valuation of carbon stocks using the economic value of carbon is Rp. 5,049,359,810.00. This value is the cost of externalities as compensation for carbon loss from land conversion activity. It should include as input to the economic analysis of geothermal project development.

Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park (BTSNP) are designated as the 10 new Bali of Indonesia. As a protected area, BTSNP has unique ecotourism characteristics that distinguish it from other ecotourism destinations. This study seeks to examine the appropriateness of BTSNP sustainable development-based ecotourism through the Sustainable Livelihoods Approach (SLA) approach. This study used TripAdvisor reviews related to BTSNP in 2019 as the main data. The data were analyzed using a qualitative approach. The results of this study revealed the extent to which the process of developing BTSNP ecotourism on the basis of sustainable development as observed from economic, tourism, socio-cultural, and environmental aspects. The results of this study are expected to be considerations for policy-making to develop tourism that pays attention to the environment by not imposing BTSNP boundaries as protected areas for conservation.
