Social media has become a constant presence in the daily lives of young people. As a result, many educational procedures and processes have been influenced by the widespread use of social networks. The number of people using social media has continuously increased. Students' perceptions on how social media affects their learning is a prominent subject of research. Students' school achievement has been significantly impacted by their interaction with professors, peers, and online knowledge-sharing behaviors. Several aspects are involved in this review, which aims to shed light on how students use social media in higher education. Findings reveal that the usage of online social media for cooperative learning encourages students to be innovative, dynamic, and research oriented. In other words, it is a matter of academic competence. This study gathered and analyzed social media data in higher education for computing disciplines. Digital libraries from EBSCO, IEEE, and ACM were utilized for data gathering. All of the above traits were found to be positively influenced by social networks, which suggest that their usage in higher education should be broadened. Teachers and educational institutions have not taken full use of internet social networks.

Kemajuan teknologi pada era revolusi industry 4.0 memiliki dampak tersendiri pada aspek Pendidikan. Hal ini sesuai dengan kebutuhan teknologi sebagai media dukung proses pembelajaran di masa pandemic Covid-19 dengan adanya pemberlakuan pembelajaran Jarak Jauh. Tujuan dari penelitian ini, yaitu mengetahui bagaimana konsep pembelajaranmandiri pada konteks pembelajaran jarak jauh. Metode yang digunakan yaitu study Pustaka untuk mengetahui informasi terkini terkait dengan pembelajaran mandiri pada era pandemic, serta observasi langsung untuk mengetahui proses pembelajaran jarak jauh yang diimplementasikan di sekolah. Berdasarkan studi yang dilakukan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa tidak semua pihak baik pengajar maupun peserta didik dapat mempraktikkan proses pembelajaran jarak jauh dengan baik. Pihak pengajar belum memberikan media serta proses belajaran yang menyenangkan, tidak monoton. Pengimplementasian konsep heutagogy, peeragogy dan cybergogy untuk proses pembelajaran jarak jauh sangat membantu terciptanya pembelajaran yang efektif. Pada pihak peserta didik, kemandirian belajar perlu dibarengi dengan adanya emosi positif, motivasi belajar, manajemen waktu yang baik serta dukungan dari lingkungan sekitar seperti adanya perhatian dari orang tua dan lingkungan sosial yang mendukung proses belajar mandiri.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, there was a change in the learning system from face-to-face to technology-based learning through online media. This study aims to determine the responsiveness of students and teachers in using Google Classroom media during the Covid-19 pandemic. This is a mixed method research (quantitative and qualitative) using questionnaires and interviews as instruments. The subjects of this study were 89 students and 1 physical education teacher. The data analysis technique used is to calculate the percentage value of the final questionnaire score. Based on the results of the study, it was revealed that the use of Google Classroom media in physical education learning achieved a questionnaire score percentage of 93.69%. Meanwhile, the physical education teacher's response shows that the use of Google classroom in physical education learning during the current Covid-19 pandemic is very helpful in the online learning process and has been implemented properly. Even though the research results revealed a good response in using google classroom, this research has limitations, namely the research subject and only examines the use of one media, namely google classroom so that the research reach is limited. The results obtained are expected to be able to make a reference for further research, especially in the use of learning media during the Covid-19 pandemic in physical education learning so that learning outcomes are maximized.
