“…This finding is consistent with the findings of other studies in related literature which reported the positive effects of the dualistic relationship between physical and virtual learning environments. (Afacan, 2018;Vignati, Fois, Melazzini, Pei, & Zurlo, 2017).…”

“…Strategic design may additionally generate a business mentality that drives responses to economic, environmental and social challenges, through the use of specific design tools and methods, in order to “understand the user experience and codesign new solutions” (Vignati et al , 2017). Franzato (2010) argued that, in order to influence business innovation, project culture (characteristic of design) should be integrated with business culture (characteristic of management), which can be done in three ways: (1) design understood as the process of changing existing situations, in which visualizations are used to negotiate and reach decisions and strategic solutions; (2) design employed not only in the development of new products, but also in internal dynamics and processes; and (3) design from strategic perspectives, which consists of its use to benefit business strategic development.…”

“…Both of these are members of the so-called “system-product-service” axis, which is fundamental to strategic design and creates value for users and companies (Zurlo and Cautela, 2013). This change caused strategic design to be recognized as a form of thought (Norman, 2016), an approach oriented toward opportunities (Vignati et al , 2017) and a series of tools for the implementation of innovation processes that generate economic, social and environmental changes (Calabretta and Gemser, 2017). This is possible when one's attention is focused not only on specific problem resolution, but also on taking advantage of contextual opportunities.…”
