Various competencies that students need to master in an effort to strengthen competitiveness, especially in the field of human resources in the 21st century. Learning media integrated with technology is one of the important learning resources to support the learning process. The lack of innovation in the use of learning media that is integrated with technology makes it less optimal for the achievement of learning objectives and mastery of competencies by students. This study aims to identify the need for opportunities for developing instructional media that are integrated with flipbook-based technology in the hope that it can increase students' opportunities in improving scientific literacy skills. This research is a qualitative research with a survey method. Data collection techniques using observations and needs analysis questionnaires. The quantitative data from the questionnaire were then analyzed using quantitative descriptive techniques using percentages that were displayed in a table. The research subjects took senior high school students in grades one and two, with a total of 70 students. The results of this study indicate that 35.7% of students stated that teachers still use Microsoft Powerpoint media and 27.1% of printed teaching materials. The results also showed that students had positive perceptions of the opportunities for developing and utilizing flipbooks as a medium for digital learning. Through the results of this research, it can become the basis for educators in developing and implementing flipbook-based digital learning media to facilitate the learning process.

A survey and exploratory study were conducted to analyze Lake Tempe as a resource for contextual learning (CTL). The first phase of the study included exploring the lake’s potential through interviews with the people who live in the lake’s coastal region. Quadrat transects were done to identify aquatic plants around the lake. A feasibility analysis was conducted to see the lake’s potential as a learning resource. Field data were collected and compared to the environmental biology (EB) curriculum, responses, and learning outcome. The data were analyzed descriptively and tested using a paired-sample t-test. The results showed differences in the three stations’ physicochemical parameters and decreased quality of the water. It was found that anthropogenic activity had a significant contribution to the lake’s pollution. Nine species of six aquatic plant families were found in the lake. The survey revealed that the lake was feasible as a learning resource with criteria easy to access, safety, time efficiency, costs, and the material's suitability for EB courses. The t-test showed a difference in the students’ scores between before and after exploration practices. These findings suggest that Lake Tempe<em> </em>can serve as a resource for CTL in EB courses.

<p class="0abstract">Chemistry is branch of science that is different because of chemical representations. The chemical representation made students assumed that chemistry is difficult. Students must master chemical representation to be able understand chemistry deeply. Besides, science process skills are crucial skills in learning chemistry, however, the students’ science process skills are rare to be involved. Chemical representation and science process skills have relationship each other. Nowadays, it was still difficult to find module could be used either face-to-face learning or online learning. Therefore, this study aimed to develop valid module integrated chemical representation and science process skills, and can be used in face-to-face learning and online learning (dual mode module) and to investigate teachers’ response about module. The research design used was ADDIE, data collected by using online validation form that was given to 6 validators to assess module based on suitability content, potential effectiveness, and overall satisfaction. To investigate chemistry teachers’ response to module, the online questionnaire given to teachers and it was further analyzed using percentage and compare to criteria of validity and criteria of response user. Th result found that module developed is valid with suitability content is 90.7%, potential effectiveness is 92%, and overall satisfaction is 92.5%. The chemistry teachers’ response showed that this module is very good criteria (92.36%). Therefore, dual mode module hopefully would be used in learning chemistry as media in face-to-face learning and online learning and also support chemical representation and science process skills among students. </p>
