“…A way principals can do to improve and enhance the quality of classroom learning is to use academic supervision (Kartini et al, 2020;Suriansyah & Effendi, 2019). The function of the academic supervision, performed by the principal as a supervisor, is to help teachers improve the quality of teaching, so that the quality of teaching improves students' results or progress (Alwis et al, 2020;Wichmann-Hansen et al, 2015). This is consistent with the ongoing monitoring efforts to improve the pedagogical skills of classroom teachers, as well as the principal's efforts to develop teacher competencies in educating students in the classroom.…”

“…The academic supervision directly affects the state of the teacher's behavioral environment in classroom management in the learning process with the teacher directly or indirectly changing his mind by providing teaching materials in preparation, core and completion activities (Alwis et al, 2020;Suriansyah & Effendi, 2019;Wichmann-Hansen et al, 2015). The skill and ability to change mind can be seen at the learning stage (Sitaasih, 2020;Usman, 2018).…”

“…In the digital era and modern times, the need for professional teachers is very high [14] [15]. In line with this statement, several education experts also stated that teachers generally have not shown professionalism [16]. This can be seen from several indications, namely: teachers behave passively, just stand and explain in front of the class, while students tend to be listeners, and are rarely involved in the contextual learning process so that motivation, appreciation, and attention from teachers are low [17].Improving the quality of learning is a continuous activity.…”

“…The demand to improve the education quality implies schools' need to have educational human resources, both educators and other human resources, to perform optimally (Brookhart et al, 2016;Cabaleiro-Cerviño & Vera, 2020;Effendi et al, 2020). It clearly results in the need to develop Human Resources in accordance with formal legal demands such as qualifications and competencies, as well as the demands of an increasingly competitive external environment in today's era of globalization (Alwis et al, 2020;Murdan, 2020;Udayani et al, 2021). This era demands high-quality human resources with creative attitudes and innovative performance, which are ready and able to face intense competition (C. Anwar et al, 2018;Lase, 2019;Meutia, 2021).…”

“…At the micro-technical level, teachers as an educator are educational leaders. They have a substantial impact on the classroom's learning process, and this leadership role will be reflected in how teachers carry out their roles and duties (Alwis et al, 2020;Lazarides et al, 2020). It implies that teachers' performance is a considerably determining factor for the learning/education quality, which will impact the education output quality after completing school (Chiva-Bartoll et al, 2021;Wachidi et al, 2020).…”
