Education, as the primary driving force in any society, demands special consideration when adapting the education system's concept for enhanced efficiency and competitiveness while ensuring the delivery of high-quality educational services. Observations, not only in the Republic of Serbia but also in various other nations, indicate that private schools can stand as equal participants in the educational services market, and in some cases, even surpass public schools in terms of quality. Simultaneously, private schools are driven by business goals. The paper specifically addresses the attainment of specific objectives, such as formulating a strategic vision that delineates the key competencies of private high schools and outlines their strategic choices. To fulfill this objective, the Business Model Generation was employed to delineate the forthcoming operational and strategic objectives of the school. Utilizing both general and specific quantitative methods, alongside business modeling, will shape an appropriate development strategy aimed at enhancing the competitiveness and quality of service provision in private high schools.

The subject of this paper is human resources in the field of science and technology in the Republic of Serbia. The aim is to establish the state and tendencies regarding the number and structure of human resources in the mentioned field. Accordingly, several research questions were defined. Open data (2018-2021) of the Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia were used. The results showed that the average number of employees who have either higher education or are employed in the field of science and technology was 991.9 thousand and on average their number was growing. The majority were women, whose number and share increased on average. The average number of employees who have higher education and are employed in the field of science and technology was 501.4 thousand and their number was growing on average, including people of both genders. The majority were women, whose share was constant with a tendency to minimal decrease. The average number of employees aged 15-74 who are employed in the field of science and technology was 731.2 thousand and on average their number was growing, including persons of both genders. The majority were women, whose share was constant with a tendency to minimal increase. The most important sector in the field of science and technology was education. It is concluded that there are positive tendencies regarding the number of human resources in the field of science and technology in Serbia, especially when it comes to women.

The subject of paper is a presentation of the most important models of strategic analysis of importance for business operations and strategic decision-making by managers and executives. Strategic thinking is a necessary approach to today's business management. The knowledge of the external and internal environment is of vital importance for a manager to manage the company and make strategic decisions. The starting point for strategic management is strategic analysis. The goals of the organization are met precisely thanks to strategic management. The paper explains in detail the four models of strategic analysis which are of importance for business operations and strategic decision-making, namely the SWOT analysis, PEST analysis, McKinsey analysis and the BCG matrix. Through a detailed content analysis, we tried to show all stakeholders, especially managers and executives, how important for them it is to know and use selected strategic analyses in business and encourage the aforementioned stakeholders to use them to improve the business situation in an increasingly dynamic business environment. Adaptation to changes in the external and internal environment is possible only if strategic management is implemented. In a dynamic and constantly changing business environment, for successful decision-making, as well as for successful in business, it is necessary to use certain strategic analyses. The aim of this paper is to present the most important strategic analyses to all stakeholders, which can improve and enhance their business.
