PurposeThe main purpose of this paper is twofold: to present a proposal for a model of educational quality management system within a process approach context for technical universities, and a conceptual model of a performance measurement system (PMS) towards the assessment of the quality level of management, core and support processes.Design/methodology/approachThe paper encompasses two main parts: a theoretical portion and a case study. Within the theoretical background, the authors discuss the issue of educational quality management supported on a process approach perspective as well as performance measurement system in high education (HE). The case study reports the development of the concept of performance measurement system for technical universities.FindingsThe proposed system of educational quality management supported on a process approach, together with a conceptual model of the performance measurement system, can be implemented in every technical university. The identification of processes in the education quality management system permitted the development of the PMS. The model covers 32 key performance indicators (KPIs) for management processes, 39 for core processes and 19 for supporting ones.Research limitations/implicationsThe proposed performance measurement system is limited in its focus on educational processes and support of these processes. The evaluation of scientific and research activity and aspects related to financial resources is not pursued.Originality/valueElaboration of a conceptual model of a performance measurement system towards the assessment of the quality level of management, core and support processes is dedicated to technical universities.

ABSTRAKKurikulum 2013 menuntut guru untuk menciptakan situasi pembelajaran yang kreatif dan inovatif dan dituntut untuk mampu menyediakan Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) yang sesuai dengan tuntutan kebutuhan dunia industri. Tujuan dari pelaksanaan program pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah untuk memberikan pelatihan “English for Accounting” bagi guru-guru bahasa Inggris SMK di Kabupaten Karawang. Pelaksanaan PKM ini dilaksanakan selama 3 bulan yaitu pada bulan September, Oktober, dan November 2021. Peserta kegiatan pelatihan ini melibatkan guru – guru SMK sebanyak 60 orang. Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode pelatihan dan workshop dengan melibatkan 3 tahapan pelaksanaan, yaitu (1) perencanaan untuk mengetahui kebutuhan dan menyusun materi pelatihan, (2) pelaksanaan kegiatan dan (3) evaluasi pelaksanaan yang dilakukan dengan analisis angket Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di Ruang Auditorium SMK Bhinneka Karawang. Hasil dari pelaksanaan kegiatan ini menunjukan hasil yang memuaskan pada 4 aspek, yaitu kesesuaian materi dengan kebutuhan, kejelasan informasi yang disampaikan dan interaksi dengan narasumber, serta kepuasan tentang pelaksanaan kegiatan. Oleh karena itu, program kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat mampu meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam bahan ajar bahasa Inggris untuk bidang Akuntansi Keuangan dan Lembaga serta penerapan media Teknologi Infomasi dan Komunikasi (TIK) di dalam kelas. Hasil dari pelaksanaan kegiatan ini menunjukan bahwa program kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat mampu meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam memb bahan ajar yang sesuai dengan jurusan bidang keahlian di sekolah, selain itu kegiatan pelatihan ini dan pengetahuan baru di bidang Teknologi Infomasi dan Komunikasi (TIK). Kata kunci: english for accounting; sekolah menengah kejuruan; guru bahasa inggris ABSTRACTThe national 2013 curriculum requires teachers to create innovative learning situations and is required to be able to provide Human Resources (HR) who meet the demands of the industrial world. The purpose of this community service program is to provide "English for Accounting" training for English teachers at Vocational High School in Karawang Regency. The implementation of this program was carried out for 3 months, from September to November 2021. The participants of this training activity were 60 teachers. This community service activity was carried out using training and workshop methods which involved 3 stages, i,e, planning, implementation and evaluation. This activity was held in the Auditorium of the Bhinneka Vocational School in Karawang. The results of the implementation of this activity indicated the participants’ satisfaction in 4 areas, i.e. the material suitability, clarity of information and interaction with the speakers as well as their overall satisfaction of the activities. Thus, it can be concluded that the activity facilitated the participants to improve their competence regarding English for Accounting teaching materials and Information and Communication Technology (ICT) classroom integration. ABSTRAKPembelajaran Computational Thinking merupakan hal yang bisa dianggap sebagai keterampilan kritis bagi masyarakat di abad ke-21 ini khususnya bagi para pelajar, pembelajaran ini melibatkan banyak keterampilan, namun kemampuan pemrograman tampaknya menjadi aspek inti karena mereka mendorong pengembangan cara berpikir baru yang merupakan kunci pemecahan masalah yang memerlukan kombinasi kekuatan mental dan kemampuan komputasi manusia. Pembelajaran Computational Thinking dapat diterapkan dari jenjang sekolah dasar dengan harapan anak-anak akan siap dengan adanya arus informasi yang semakin cepat. Pada kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang telah dilakukan, pengabdi memberikan materi terkait Computational Thinking kepada para siswa sekolah dasar. Kegiatan ini terbagi menjadi dua bagian, yaitu pemberian materi dan latihan menjawab soal yang berhubungan dengan materi. Latihan menjawab soal dilakukan dengan memutarkan video yang berisikan soal Computational Thinking beserta pembahasannya. Pada tahap evaluasi kegiatan, tim pengabdian melakukan latihan menjawab soal terkait materi yang sudah disampaikan. Hasil dari jawaban siswa kemudian diperiksa untuk melihat pemahaman siswa tentang materi yang disampaikan, pada hasil tersebut terlihat ada 14 siswa yang menjawab latihanl dengan nilai 80 dan 6 siswa lainnya masih mendapatkan nilai dibawah 80. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut maka bisa disimpulkan bahwa sebanyak 70% siswa sudah mulai memahami konsep pembelajaran Computational Thinking. Kata kunci: berpikir komputasi; keterampilan kritis; sekolah dasar ABSTRACTLearning Computational Thinking is something that can be considered a critical skill for society in the 21st century, especially for students, this learning involves many skills, but programming skills seem to be a core aspect because they encourage the development of new ways of thinking which are the key to solving problems that require combination of human mental strength and computational ability. Computational Thinking learning can already be applied from the elementary school level with the hope that children will be ready for the faster flow of information. In the community service activities that have been carried out, the devotees provide material related to Computational Thinking to elementary school students. This activity is divided into two parts, namely the provision of material and exercises to answer questions related to the material. Practice answering questions is done by playing a video containing Computational Thinking questions and their discussions. Based on the results of the activities that have been carried out by giving practice questions to answer related to the material that has been delivered, as many as 70% of students answered the questions correctly, this proves that elementary school students have started to understand the concept of Computational Thinking.
