This work aims to present the current scenario of the Brazilian raw sugar export logistics, focusing on transportation, pointing out the benefits of intermodal road-rail in the flow of bulk sugar from mills to the Port of Santos. The study analyzes the evolution of modes of transportation and new investments focused on port infrastructure. It is possible to notice throughout the work that most of the investments in the area comes from private business groups seeking partnerships to improve competitiveness for the sector, such as Rumo Logística and America Latina Logística, which holds the largest concession and rail network in the state. The state of São Paulo currently offers transshipment options warehouses located in its territory and can meet the demand of the sugar mills to flow their product. It could be identified that the existence of a logistical planning well done using these two modes (road and rail) can guarantee competitive prices, load security and a transit time that does not compromise the receipt of the goods at the port, which historically suffer from the accumulation of vehicles, and is a great alternative for reducing air pollutants, with the reduction of vehicles circulating on the roads.

Nowadays, Brazil is one of the largest soy producers in the world and, considering the great demand for this product abroad, an efficient logistic operation is necessary for the removal, transportation, storage and exportation of the grains. In this context, the informational flow mapping that there is in these processes is an important tool able to provide support for the development of strategies. Wit h a case study conducted in a sector trading company in Paranaguá -PR (Brazil), it was possible to carry out a survey of the entire logistics process and map relevant information from the beginning of the process until its end, thus enabling the identific ation of the informational flow between the logistics department and the other sectors of the organization.

Resumo A busca por fontes de energia renováveis tem aumentado a demanda mundial de etanol. O Brasil ocupa a posição de segundo maior produtor mundial de etanol, porém os custos para transportar essa produção estão cada vez mais altos. O objetivo do trabalho é analisar as alternativas de transporte do etanol frente às condições logísticas vigentes no Brasil. Para tanto, propõe-se um modelo de equilíbrio parcial na forma de um Problema de Complementaridade Mista (PCM) aplicado ao etanol. Avaliou-se dois cenários, o primeiro se trata de um cenário base com rotas de transporte com o modal rodoviário e intermodal, no segundo estimou-se uma redução de 15% no valor do frete. O cenário 2 apresentou os melhores volumes de comercialização em relação ao cenário base, indicando que os projetos viários que priorizem a intermodalidade, implicam reduções no custo de transporte e conferem uma melhoria na eficiência do sistema logístico. Destaca-se também, que a hipótese de intermodalidade do cenário 2 refletiu-se em ganhos de competitividade no mercado internacional, isso porque 100% das rotas com destino ao mercado externo são intermodais.
