Background: Immunization has been held as a major achievement for global health, however, still exist many children who are not completely vaccinated. Knowledge about factors contributing to the incomplete immunization is important to develop effective strategies and interventions to achieve universal coverage to control or eradicate vaccine-preventable diseases. This study aimed to describe immunization coverage within the first year of life and associated factors with incompleteness among participants of the 2015 Pelotas Birth Cohort, Brazil. Methods: Cross-sectional analyses were performed using data from a population-based cohort. Information on vaccination status was collected from immunization cards and verbal mother's reports from 4014 children aged 24 months. Coverage was described for each vaccine, for the basic and the complete national schedule. Incomplete vaccination was defined as failure to receive the recommended number of doses by the National Immunization Program in 2015. Bivariate and multivariate Poisson regressions with robust variance were conducted to identify factors associated with incompleteness.Results: Vaccine coverage of individual vaccines varied from 81% (Hepatitis A) to 97% (BCG). Full immunization coverage were 77% (95% CI: 75.8; 78.4) and 66.1% (95% CI: 64.6; 67.5), for basic and expanded indicators, relatively. Multivariate analyses showed that factors associated with incompleteness (for both basic and expanded coverage) were high family income, high parity, low number of prenatal consultations, not have done the tetanus toxoid, reduced diphtheria toxoid, and acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccine during pregnancy, not have breastfeed the child until at age 12 months and not have used public health care services for child's vaccination.Conclusion: Findings of our study show the need to develop and implement policies and programs to achieve complete immunization during the first year of life. Some strategies would include an increase in the primary health care services networks, improving their quality and access, the dissemination of scientific-based evidence about the benefits of vaccination, through communication campaigns and guidance provided by health professionals, especially those responsible for prenatal care.

Objective: to evaluate the prevalence of health risk behaviors and to associate them with sociodemographic characteristics. Method: a cross-sectional study of the household survey type, developed using structured instruments, with 421 adult men selected from a systematic random sampling. Univariate analysis and multiple analysis were performed through Logistic Regression.Results: being aged between 40 and 50 years old and belonging to the B and C economic classes were associated with alcohol consumption (30.4%); having income from 2.1 to 4.0 minimum wages, higher education and religion were associated to smoking (19.5%); working, being employed and having secondary/higher education were associated to insufficient physical activity (86.2%); not working, income higher than six minimum wages and not having a health insurance were associated to an inadequate diet (39.2%); absence of a partner, religion and being employed were associated to an inadequate vaccination status(24.9%); being aged between 50 and 59 years old, being retired/ on a medical leave and having a health insurance were associated to not performing examinations (42.3%); having income higher than six minimum wages and belonging to the C economic class were associated to no leisure time (36.3%). RESUMOObjetivo: Identificar os fatores que limitam a garantia do direito à imunização na infância e adolescência. Mé-todo: Trata-se de uma revisão narrativa da literatura para atender a seguinte questão norteadora: qual o estado da arte referente ao direito à imunização na infância e adolescência? As buscas de artigos foram realizadas nas bases de dados PubMed, BDENF e LILACS, e na biblioteca virtual SciELO, utilizando os descritores: imunização, criança, adolescente, direitos humanos e suas versões em inglês. Foram selecionados e analisados quinze artigos. Resultados: Foram identificados fatores que limitam a garantia do direito à imunização na infância e adolescência e questões éticas envolvendo a vacinação, como a obrigatoriedade, o consentimento e o conflito de direitos, que impõem desafios e exigem dos profissionais de saúde conhecimentos atualizados, posturas abertas ao diálogo e práticas de educação em saúde e em defesa dos direitos. Conclusão: O compromisso dos profissionais é vital para a manutenção de níveis elevados de vacinação, contribuindo para a promoção e proteção da saúde da criança e do adolescente.
