Human Resource Management (HRM) conceptually encompasses policies, practices and systems that influence employee behaviour, attitudes and performance. The comparative research of HRM between France and Egypt, countries from different continents, Europe and Africa, used the literature study method with a descriptive-qualitative approach. The results showed significant differences in HRM practices between the two countries. France has an intuitive recruitment approach with the use of multiple interview methods, while Egypt tends to use internal and informal recruitment. In development, France focuses on internal relations, while Egypt involves government initiatives. Regarding termination of employment, France has a collective policy (RC), while Egypt is unstable in the tourism sector. Performance appraisal in France is subjective, while in Egypt employees care more about procedural justice. The compensation system in France involves fixed and flexible salaries, while Egypt has government regulations. Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) regulations are stricter in France, reflecting cultural and labour law differences. Thus, cultural and legal differences create different frameworks in France and Egypt, influencing the implementation of HRM in each country.

Kinerja merupakan capaian individu berdasarkan kewajiban yang dibebankan. Kinerja dapat dikatakan berhasil apabila mencapai tujuannya, hal ini dapat dipengaruhi oleh aspek-aspek dari internal perusahaan,seperti keterampilan yang dimiliki pegawai. Riset ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman tentang bagaimana Kompetensi, Work Life Balance dan Disiplin Kerja berperan dalam meningkatkan kinerja pegawai Dinas Pemberdayaan Masyarakat dan Desa Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Analisis yang digunakan peneliti menggunakan metode penelitian kuantitatif dengan survei menggunakan kuesioner sebagai pengumpulan data dan dianalisis menggunakan metode statistik. Pada riset ini, teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan probability sampling dengan metode total sampling. Dimana pengambilan sampel mengaplikasikan seluruh anggota populasi sebanyak 100 pegawai sebagai sampel. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Kompetensi, work life balance dan disiplin kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap kinerja pegawai Dinas Pemberdayaan Masyarakat dan Desa Kabupaten Sidoarjo.

On the one hand, in the present era, construction companies are one of Egypt’s fastest-growing industries and provide significant economic returns. On the other hand, construction industries significantly put individuals in danger of accidental death. In this study, the researchers examined the factors that affect Occupational Safety (OCS) measures among women engineers working in Egypt’s construction industries. This is a quantitative study that used cross-sectional data, and the researchers used 376 usable samples. By applying Structural Equation Modeling (SEM), this study’s findings demonstrate that the Work Environment (WEN), Personal Protection (PP), Training and Education of Safety Skills (TESS), Familiarity with Safety Regulations (FSR) and Safety Commitment (SCT) influence OCS. This study’s findings will help policymakers and planners design effective safety policies on construction sites. This study’s findings about adopting precautionary and safety measures will help reduce the death rates on Egypt’s construction sites. Finally, particularly in developing countries, this study’s findings will contribute to the health and safety and environment and health literature.
