Blood Groups in the Philippines

Abstract: During I960 blood samples were obtained from 413 adult Philippinos living in Manila but originating from all parts of the island (Motulsky, Stransky, and Fraser, I964). The main object of this study was to determine the incidence of abnormal haemoglobins and G6PD deficiency but the opportunity was also taken to characterize the blood and serum group frequencies of this population.Blood Groups ABO System.
