The aim of this study is to determine the views of science teachers about the teaching of the 6th grade "Sound and Its Features" unit. The study is conducted as a case study. Participants of the study consisted of 39 science teachers. Criterion sampling method was used in determining the participants. The data of the study were collected by a semistructured interview form consisting of two parts. In the interviews, the data were collected by recording the interviews with the consent of all the teachers. Then, the content analysis was carried out by considering the responses of the teachers to all items of the interview form. Codes were created by two different researchers, and the theme and sub-themes under which these codes were collected were determined. As a result of the analysis, the consistency between coders was found to be 85,365%. As a result of the content analysis, a total of 7 main themes emerged: "the adequacy of the outcomes", "the adequacy of the textbook", "the subject/concepts that students have the most problems with", "the methods/techniques used", "the materials used", "activities" and "the types of evaluation methods used". The interviews showed that the outcomes and the subject content were simplified too much; teachers preferred traditional approaches more in the teaching process and had problems using teaching resources effectively. In addition, although the teachers described the 'sound' topics as easy to understand, it was determined from the teachers' views that the students had comprehension problems in most of the 'sound' topics. As a result of the study, the problems faced by teachers and students regarding the 'sound' and its features were investigated, and the current situation was tried to be revealed.
