Objective: To compare the Nursing Activities Score (NAS) between the Assistance Sites in an Intensive Care Unit. Method:Descriptive, retrospective study, carried out in the Intensive Care Unit of a teaching hospital. The patients were organized in Assistance Sites according to their clinical characteristics and the nursing team's composition was organized in accordance with the Nursing Activities Score (NAS). The confidence interval was set at p < 0.05. Results: the majority were male surgical patients with a mean age of 56.8 years. The postoperative care Site presented the greatest patient turnover. The overall average NAS was 71.7%. There was a difference in the nursing workload between the different Assistance Sites. The shorter length of stay and the nonsurvivors contributed to increasing the workload in the ICU. Conclusion: Comparing the NAS in the differentSites made it possible to organize the work process of the nursing team according to each group, contributing to patient safety. Estudio descriptivo, retrospectivo, realizado en la Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos de un hospital escuela. Los pacientes fueron organizados en Sitios Asistenciales según sus características clínicas y el dimensionamiento de los profesionales de enfermería fue realizado según el NAS. Se consideró p < 0,05. Resultados: Predominaron pacientes del sexo masculino, quirúrgicos y con edad media de 56,8 años. El Sitio post-operatorio presentó mayor rotación de pacientes. El NAS medio global fue el 71,7%. Se verificó diferencia de la carga de trabajo de enfermería entre los diferentes Sitios Asistenciales. El menor tiempo de internación y los pacientes no sobrevivientes contribuyeron con el aumento de la carga de trabajo en la UCI. Conclusión: Fue posible organizar el proceso de trabajo del equipo de enfermería de acuerdo con cada grupo, contribuyendo con la seguridad del paciente. Keywords

Use of digital applications in the medicament calculation education for nursing

Objective. To evaluate the influence of the use of digital applications in medicament calculation education for nursing students. Methods. An experimental study was developed with a sample of 100 nursing students, who were divided randomly into two groups (use of the Calculation Medicines -CalcMed application -available free on the Internet, n=50) and control (conventional method of the calculator use and pre-math skills, n=50). Both groups were assessed before and after the application of the teaching strategy through a test with ten specific questions of medicament calculations. Results. The study group showed a mean score of 8.14 versus an average of 5.02 in the control group. The average time of test execution was faster in the study group compared to the control group (15.7 versus 38.9 minutes). Conclusion. The strategy of using this application positively influences learning and enables greater security in the implementation of medicament calculations.

Resumo Objetivo: Descrever o desenvolvimento de aplicativo de tecnologia móvel para coleta de dados em pesquisa de tempo e movimento dos profissionais de saúde do Programa Estratégia de Saúde da Família, na realização das intervenções/atividades de cuidado. Métodos: Pesquisa aplicada de produção tecnológica fundamentada no conceito de prototipagem e nas fases de definição, desenvolvimento e manutenção, para construção e validação de aplicativo do “instrumento de medida de carga de trabalho dos profissionais de saúde na atenção primária”, para dispositivo móvel tablet Motorola® com sistema operacional Android® 3.2, com a finalidade de coletar dados em pesquisa de tempo e movimento, por meio da técnica de amostragem do trabalho e identificar a carga de trabalho de profissionais de saúde, lotados em unidades de saúde da família, localizadas nas cinco regiões geográficas do Brasil, consideradas de ótimo desempenho pelo Programa de Melhoria do Acesso e da Qualidade da Atenção Básica - ciclo 1. Resultados: O aplicativo potencializou a coleta de dados e facilitou as seguintes etapas: registro e armazenamento dos dados; manutenção da integridade da informação; transmissão e armazenamento dos dados; organização e processamento das informações e maior segurança na análise dos resultados. A transmissão e a extração dos dados foram realizadas diariamente, através da sincronização dos arquivos no Dropbox®. O aplicativo eletrônico foi utilizado durante as observações dos 418 profissionais de saúde das 27 unidades de saúde da família, no total foram registrados 85.398 observações de intervenções/atividades. Conclusão: O aplicativo possibilitou uma coleta de dados mais dinâmica; manteve a integridade da informação; auxiliou a transmissão e o armazenamento de dados; facilitou a organização e o processamento das informações e proporcionou maior segurança na análise dos resultados.
