Antimicrobial and Antioxidant Effects of Some Turkish Fodder Plants Belongs to Fabaceae Family (Vicia villosa, Trifolium ochroleucum and Onobrychis altissima)

The correlation between antioxidant activity and total phenolic content of the crude extract from J. curcas fruit were evaluated. The crude extract was obtained by extracting with selected solvent and fractionated with a hydrophilic lipophilic balanced (HLB) cartridge. The total phenolic content of crude extract with Folin-Ciocalteu method gave the content at 7.04 ± 0.10 mg GAE/g of extract and 0.22-18.61 mg GAE/g of extract for its fraction. The antioxidant activity of crude extract was 270.98 ± 0.59 µmol Fe/g of extract with Phen method and the extract gave IC 50 at 14.09 ± 0.05 mg/ mL with DPPH method. A good correlation among antioxidant activity and total phenolic content of both methods were observed. Furthermore, the methanolic fraction (F 5 ) showed highest antioxidant activity with IC 50 at 0.04 ± 0.02 mg/mL as the study of DPPH method and 207.53 ± 2.58 µmol Fe/g of extract as the study of Phen method.

Antimicrobial Activity and Chemical Constituents of the Extract from Jatropha curcas Fruit

The antimicrobial activity and chemical constituents of the methanolic extract from J. curcas fruit were evaluated in this study. The crude extract was achieved by extraction with 60 % (v/v) methanol. It showed the potencies of antimicrobial activity against P. putida, P. syringae pv. sesami, X. campestris, X. campestris pv. glycines, X. campestris pv. vesicatoria and R. solanacearum with the presence of inhibition zone in the range of 8.0 ± 0.0 to 13.7 ± 0.6 mm and MIC value at 214.29 ± 0.00 µg/mL. Furthermore, flavone compound can be proposed by the analysis of gas chromatographymass spectrometry (GC-MS). According to the group of flavonoid compounds have strong bioactive properties; the results suggested that J. curcas fruit has highly potential as effective natural bioactive sources.

Soil is one in all the foremost necessary physical factors dominant the flow and preservation of water, solutes, gases and biota in agriculture and natural environment. An understanding of physical condition of any soil is crucial for implementation of variable fields across the landscape. The field work is designed in South India of Tamil Nadu by planting the sweet corn at Karisalpatti village, Tirunelveli in 2018. It is gauged using single, double and triple manure combination of amendment at varied concentration to evaluates the physical properties of sandy loam soil. The field was set to go in randomised block style with 3 replications. A considerable enhancement in well being of soil was ascertained with reference to nourishing the convenience of physical steadiness using vermicompost manure. The increase in porosity has been attributed to extend the amount of pores within the soil. The physical changes of soil due to the time and temperature was assistance by thermo gravimetric and differential thermal methodology. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy confirms the presence of organic mineral inside the soil. UV-Diffuse reflectance spectroscopy works out the structure and colourizes the sandy soil. Characterize the electrochemical system of soil using Cyclic Voltammeter spectroscopy. The result shows that thanks to the addition of organic manure there's robust OH bond absorption and stumps up high yield contribution to corn crop.
