Analysis of experimental data on the kinetic characteristics of milk whey purification using ultrafiltration elements of BTU 05/2 type

Abstract: The paper presents the results of experimental data on the kinetic characteristics of ultrafiltration tubular elements, such as the output specific flow, retention coefficient, diffusion permeability coefficient, distribution coefficient. To study the purification of milk whey, we used tubular ultrafilters BTU 05/2 with membrane material fluoroplast (F), polyethersulfone (PESF), polysulfone (PS). For theoretical calculation of the retention coefficient, output specific flux, diffusion permeability coefficient,… Show more

“…To determine the glucose content in the solution, the ACCU-CHEK ® ACTIVE glucometer was used (measurement error ± 0.2 mmol/dm 3 ). Before testing, the device was calibrated in accordance with the attached manufacturer's instructions for standard glucose solutions [18,19].…”

“…To solve this problem, the most rational ways of milk whey utilization in the food industry are being developed. Currently, research for whey processing includes three main areas: obtaining concentrates using ultrafiltration techniques, isolation of the individual components with high nutritional value, and the biological conversion of lactose and whey proteins [2,4].…”

“…This leads to plants degradation and deterioration of an ecological situation. Membrane methods are also used for demineralization and purification of technological solutions of dairy production, since due to their high polluting ability draining the resulting whey into drains creates problems for the environment [5,6]. Such additional processing makes it possible to organize almost waste-free production and expand the range of products produced.…”
