“…2 Com a instituição da Política Nacional de Redução da Morbimortalidade por Acidentes e Violência (PNR-MAV) pela Portaria GM/MS nº 737, de 16 de maio de 2001, com vistas ao enfrentamento da questão, o tema passou a ser respaldado por uma política específica, que contempla desde ações de promoção da saúde até a reestruturação dos serviços de saúde. 3 Minayo e Deslandes 4 evidenciaram em estudo o quanto é necessário avançar a organização dos serviços de saúde em todo o Brasil, especialmente os de reabilitação. Em todas as capitais estudadas, os serviços de reabilitação, comparados aos de atenção pré-hospitalar e hospitalar, foram os que mais evidenciaram déficit de oferta, sendo detectada a área de reabilitação como a de maior fragilidade na implantação da PNRMAV.…”
