An off-site construction readiness maturity model for the Indian construction sector

Abstract: Purpose This paper aims to present an off-site construction (OSC) readiness maturity model for assessing the readiness of offsite construction companies in the Indian construction sector. Design/methodology/approach The research was conducted in three stages. The first stage consisted of a detailed literature review to document 17 different variables affecting the OSC adoption in India. In Stage 2, 15 semi-structured interviews were carried out where the participants were asked to refine those variables for … Show more

“…Models like CSCMM, Organisational Project Management Maturity Model (OPM3), Berkley Project Management Process Maturity Model, CIM3, SPICE, CM3, Portfolio, Programme and Project Management Maturity Model (P3M3) all are developed considering CMM as a fundament (Eadie, Perera and Heaney, 2011). On the contrary, a model like Off-site construction readiness maturity model has followed a different approach where it is developed using empirical studies to suite specifically offsite construction (Bendi, et al, 2021). Another fact that is seemed to be common is having distinct maturity levels and the idea is visible in analysing their respective definitions as well.…”

“…El modelo de madurez de Internacionalización diseñado en el presente trabajo toma de base este modelo para la definición de sus niveles, ya que como se ha comentado, se ha utilizado de base para el desarrollo de nuevos modelos y los enfoques típicos de los modelos de madurez de capacidad (CMM) siguen con frecuencia un enfoque de cinco niveles como el adoptado (Bendi et al, 2020). En la Figura 20 se observan los cinco niveles del modelo.…”
