An Alternative Approach for High Uniformity Distribution of Indoor Lighting LED

Abstract: A high accurately theoretical analysis for high uniformity illumination distribution on the ceiling of indoor lighting LED system based on the super-positions is proposed and performed. Starting from the non-uniform illumination distribution of two LED sources, the dependences of the uniformity ratio on the height of the LED source and the length of the ceiling are investigated. The low intensity in the region near the side-wall can be avoided by rotating the LED source with a small angle, but the low uniformi… Show more

“…The differences of chrysanthemum growth between controlled flowering and uncontrolled flowering are shown in Figure 15b and Figure Most of the linear distributions along the X axis for simulation and experiment results were consistent with each other. The experiment achieved a uniformity of 75% with a minimum value of 110 and maximum value of 243, where uniformity was calculated by Equation (2). The difference between simulation and test results can be explained by many factors.…”

“…In recent years, LEDs have been used in many different fields. With the highlight of energy savings, long life, and safety for users [1,2], LEDs are replacing other traditional lamps. However, LEDs have disadvantages of a wide beam angle (from 120 • to 150 • ) depending on the type of LEDs [3] and have Lambertian distributions.…”

“…[1][2][3][4][5][6] As the luminous efficacy of LED continues to increase and prices continue to decline, its application is no longer limited to signal lights, but is widely used in information, transportation, medical, biological and general lighting industries. [7][8][9][10][11] The light-emitting diode with the conformalcoating package is most used in vehicle headlamps due to the smaller etendue and better thermal dissipation than the LED with the encapsulated-lens packaging. [12][13] There has been considerable research on optical design of vehicle headlamps using LEDs as light source.…”

“…The solid-state lighting technology based on light-emitting diodes (LEDs) and laser diodes (LDs) has gained widespread attention [2], [3]. In recent years, LEDs are replacing conventional incandescent lamps due to several well-known advantages, such as color-tunable property, long lifespan, compact size, and high luminous efficacy among others [4], [5]. However, there still exist many serious problems in LEDs which can not be completely addressed [6], [7].…”
