The aim of this work is to find out how the colors are understood and used by the Sundanese. Color is an important element in human life. Colors not only complement the life, but can be used as knowledge and communication tools. The color is an element of art and design, including the design of visual communication. The art itself is one of the seven elements of culture. Colors in Sundanese culture have a unique and distinct. Sundanese culture in this case meant not only limited to the culture grow and develop in the area of West Java province. Researches about color in Sundanese culture are hard to find, so knowledge of the colors in the Sundanese culture is still limited. The approach using descriptive-analytical. Data obtained from the publications of the previous studies. Sundanese Color names who found by a researcher, generally, are not accompanied by color code so that causing the reader difficult to imagine it's colors, especially for readers with mother tongue is not Sundanese. The results showed there are three dimensions of color in Sundanese culture, i.e. meaning, naming, and use of color. Color's preference in Sundanese culture is divided into two categories: black and white and unlimited colors. The color preference of clothing for the Baduy Dalam is black and white. The color preference of clothes for Baduy panamping and dangka is colorful. The fact that research on the special topic on Sundanese colors very slightly means this topic still widely open to execute.

Abstract. Cultural representations play an important role in tourism marketing. However, it is argued that the representation of Sundanese tradition and culture in the tourism marketing of Bandung is often overshadowed by the modern representation of the city. This paper explores the representation of Sundanese culture on the pictorial elements of the websites that promote Bandung tourism. This study used visual content analysis and semiotic analysis of the representations of Sundanese culture in Bandung promotional websites through pictorial data collections and coding of 83 websites and a total of 658 images. The results indicate that Sundanese traditional food dominates the representation of Sundanese culture in Bandung tourism marketing. Furthermore, this study suggests that Sundanese culture represents closeness to nature, harmony, warmth, egalitarianism, and togetherness. Implications to practice along with recommendations for future research are provided. Sasirangan is a traditional fabric typical of the Banjar tribal community and has now been developed into an industrial product in Banjarmasin. Sasirangan's business development shows a significant development and it becomes very essential to pay attention to how to maintain its business. This article aims to describe the business operations and distribution patterns in the Sasirangan clothing industry. The qualitative approach was used in this study coupled with data collection through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results showed that Sasirangan fabric products are produced by artisans who work individually or in groups and marketed by traders. Marketing of Sasirangan cloth products uses a direct distribution pattern to consumers, and indirectly uses a merchant intermediary who then resell them to consumers. The collaboration of Sasirangan artisan and traders can be further enhanced to develop a convection industry based on local culture. The findings of this study provide a further description of how local culture-based businesses require support from the government and other parties to maintain business sustainability.JEL Classification J24; M31; O14
