“…Houve perda de 2 linhas em 4,4% dos míopes moderados e em 8% dos hipermétropes moderados. Interessante salientar que, dentre os míopes, a maior perda de linhas de AV no pós-operatório foi no grupo de miopias moderadas (-6,00 a -11,75 D), provavelmente devido à alteração refrativa da topografia corneana pós-operató-ria, corroborando com a literatura, 4,6,8,9,11,15,19,[28][29][30] exceto com os resultados de Knorz e cols 26 que relatam maior perda de acuidade visual corrigida no grupo dos altos míopes, Lacava e cols 17 (maior perda no grupo de miopias inferiores a 6 dioptrias), e com os de Carvalho e cols 30 que relatam perda maior de linhas de Snellen no geral (33,3%), provavelmente devido à irregularidades na interface, crescimento epitelial, deslocamento e perda do disco. Os hipermétropes apresentaram maior freqüência de perda da acuidade visual corrigida pós-operatória, provavelmente devido a pequenas descentrações e zona óptica pequena de fotoablação, comprometendo a qualidade refrativa corneana.…”
