Objective: To describe and discuss the participation of adolescents from a quilombola community in the transformation of the comic “Possible Story” (“Uma História Possível”), from the Comic on alcohol, into an educational game. Method: Implementation of the creative and sensitive method of art-based research, with adolescents from a quilombola community in the state of Espírito Santo, for the development of a board game. Results: The democratic and interactive space favored the problematization of images and narratives about alcohol consumption mediated in the comic book. The group selected scenes, reordered the story, devised questions and riddles, formulated true and false assertions in a 17-card composition of the board game. The potential of the game as a content mediating tool to promote learning, reinforcement, and fixation of scientific content was evaluated. Conclusion: The active and dynamic participation of adolescents took place from conception to evaluation of the board game, encouraging them to reflect on a community context of cultural permissiveness of alcohol use.

Resumo Objetivo Compreender as particularidades de comunidades quilombolas para a construção da prática do enfermeiro na Estratégia Saúde da Família, sob o prisma da Ética Feminista. Método Estudo de caso único integrado qualitativo, sustentado no referencial epistemológico da ética feminista. A coleta ocorreu ente fevereiro-junho/2018 por meio de entrevistas individuais, coletivas e observação, com a participação de 59 quilombolas e 07 enfermeiros da equipe de Estratégia Saúde da Família, na Região Metropolitana de Belo Horizonte. Dados submetidos à análise de conteúdo com auxílio do software ATLAS.ti 8.0. Resultados As particularidades dos quilombolas são identificadas nos aspectos da afrodescendência, como os vínculos de parentesco e manifestações culturais e religiosas. Viver na comunidade significa compartilhamento e preservação cultural. A prática do enfermeiro, nessas comunidades, é construída por meio do encontro do indivíduo/família/coletividade, do fortalecimento do vínculo e do respeito e valorização da cultura e modos de vida das pessoas. Reitera-se uma prática de compartilhamento de responsabilidade, na dualidade construída entre quilombolas e profissionais. Conclusões e implicações para a prática A prática do enfermeiro em comunidades quilombolas é pautada no reconhecimento de especificidades sociais e culturais de grupos com ancestrais do continente africano e contribui para o fortalecimento da integração do cuidado no encontro indivíduo-profissional, com responsabilidades compartilhadas.

Self-care of men with priapism and sickle cell disease

Objective: To identify self-care demands of men with sickle cell disease and priapism and describe self-care measures in light of Orem's Self-Care Theory. Method: This is a descriptive exploratory study with qualitative approach conducted with nine men with a history of sickle cell disease and priapism. Data were analyzed using Orem's Self-Care Theory. Results: Some demands were identified: from universal self-care - difficulty in social interaction and solitude, changes in self-image, self-esteem and sexual activity; from development - the experience with priapism and little knowledge about the pathophysiology of the disease; regarding health deviations - pain crises. Conclusion: Orem's theory allowed to identify self-care demands, which are essential for the nursing care provided for men with priapism. Nursing has an essential role in the measures for the different demands presented.
