A B S T R A C TThe intensive use of pesticides to control pests in agriculture has exposed the environment and humans to a variety of risks. Among the crops with higher consumption of these compounds there is the sugarcane, developed in regions bordered by large watersheds. In this work, the occurrence of pesticides in the water of Ipojuca River was investigated in a 50 km range of its eastern portion, in a region noted for intense agroindustrial activity, especially by sugarcane cultivation, in the state of Pernambuco. Among fungicides, herbicides, insecticides and carbamates, 238 pesticides were investigated in the Ipojuca River using the technique of liquid chromatography coupled to tandem mass spectrometry (LC-MS/MS). The study, conducted in the months of May, June, October and November 2012, detected the presence of Diuron and Ametryn herbicide residues in 100% of the water samples at concentrations from 0.01 to 1.4 µg L -1 . The detection of these herbicides, even at residual concentrations, can lead to perceptible ecological changes in the long term, such as the reduction of the biological potential of animal and plant species.Ocorrência e distribuição espaço-temporal de resíduos de herbicidas na sub-bacia do Rio Ipojuca, Pernambuco, Brasil R E S U M O O uso intensivo de pesticidas no controle de pragas na agricultura tem exposto o meio ambiente e o homem a diferenciados riscos. Entre as culturas que apresentam maior consumo desses compostos se encontra a da cana-de-açúcar, desenvolvida em regiões margeadas por grandes bacias hidrográficas. Em uma faixa de 50 km investigou-se, neste trabalho, a ocorrência de pesticidas nas águas do Rio Ipojuca, na sua porção Leste, em uma região que se destaca pela intensa atividade agroindustrial, sobretudo sucroalcooleira, no estado de Pernambuco. Dentre fungicidas, herbicidas, inseticidas e carbamatos, 238 pesticidas foram investigados nas águas do Rio Ipojuca utilizando-se a técnica de cromatografia líquida acoplada à espectrometria de massas em tandem (LC-MS/MS). O estudo realizado nos meses de maio, junho, outubro e novembro de 2012, detectou a presença de resíduos dos herbicidas Ametrina e Diuron em 100% das amostras de água, em concentrações que variaram de 0,01 a 1,4 µg L -1. A detecção desses herbicidas, mesmo que em concentrações residuais, pode levar a alterações ecológicas perceptíveis a longo prazo, como a diminuição do potencial biológico de espécies animais e vegetais.

-The goal of this research was to examine phytotoxicity and leaf anatomy of pequi plants (Caryocar brasiliense Cambess.) exposed to simulated drift of glyphosate. The experimental design was randomized blocks with nine replications. Each experimental unit was composed by one 18-L pot with one plant. The treatments consisted of different doses of glyphosate sprayed: 0 (control), 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000 and 1500 g ae ha -1 of glyphosate. Phytotoxicity visual ratings were carried out at 7, 14 and 21 days after spraying (DAS) by scores expressed in a percentage scale, within which zero and one hundred represent no symptom and plant death, respectively. Description of symptoms, changes in leaf anatomy and micromorphometric analysis were performed on leaves taken from plant top and middle third at 23 DAS. Poisoning symptoms were wilting, chlorosis followed by necrosis, winding of top leaves and leaf senescence, being intensified with increasing doses. Leaf anatomical changes were detected from the dose of 250 g ha- ALTERAÇÕES MORFO-ANATÔMICAS DE FOLHAS DE PEQUI (Caryocar brasiliense Cambess.) SUBMETIDAS À DERIVA SIMULADA DE GLIFOSATORESUMO -O objetivo desta pesquisa foi avaliar a fitointoxicação e a anatomia foliar de plantas de pequi (Caryocar brasiliense Cambess.) submetidas à deriva simulada do glifosato. O delineamento utilizado foi em blocos casualizados com nove repetições. A unidade experimental foi constituída por um vaso, com capacidade de 18 litros, contendo uma planta. Os tratamentos corresponderam à aplicação das doses de 0 (controle), 50, 100, 250, 500, 1000 e 1500 g e.a. ha -1 de glifosato. Avaliações visuais de fitointoxicação foram realizadas aos 7, 14 e 21 dias após a aplicação (DAA) dos tratamentos por meio de notas expressas em escala percentual, em que zero e cem representaram ausência de sintomas e morte das plantas, respectivamente. Descrição dos sintomas, alterações na anatomia foliar e micromorfometria foram realizadas em folhas do ápice e do terço médio aos 23 DAA. Os sintomas visuais de intoxicação foram murcha, clorose seguida de necrose, enrolamento das folhas dos ápices e senescência foliar, sendo intensificadas com o aumento das doses. As alterações anatômicas nas folhas foram detectadas a partir da dose de 250 g ha -1. Os danos causados foram células plasmolisadas, ruptura da epiderme, células alteradas, hiperplasia, células colapsadas, tecidos necrosados e acúmulo de compostos fenólicos.Palavras-chave: Contaminação ambiental; Fitointoxicação; Espécie arbórea.

SUMMARYPig slurry applied to soil at different rates may affect soil properties and the mobility of chemical compounds within the soil. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effects of rates of pig slurry application in agricultural areas on soil physical and chemical properties and on the mobility of glyphosate through the soil profile. The study was carried out in the 12 th year of an experiment with pig slurry applied at rates of 0 (control), 50, 100 and 200 m 3 ha -1 yr -1 on a Latossolo Vermelho distrófico (Hapludox) soil. In the control, the quantities of P and K removed by harvested grains were replaced in the next crop cycle. Soil physical properties (bulk density, porosity, texture, and saturated hydraulic conductivity) and chemical properties (organic matter, pH, extractable P, and exchangeable K) were measured. Soil solution samples were collected at depths of 20, 40 and 80 cm using suction lysimeters, and glyphosate concentrations were measured over a 60-day period after slurry application. Soil physical and chemical properties were little affected by the pig slurry applications, but soil pH was reduced and P levels increased in the surface layers. In turn, K levels were increased in sub-surface layers. Glyphosate concentrations tended to decrease over time but were not affected by pig slurry application. The concentrations of glyphosate found in different depths show that the pratice of this application in agricultural soils has the potential for contamination of groundwater, especially when the water table is the surface and heavy rains occur immediately after application.Index terms: soil fertilization, physical and chemical properties, pollutant transport, pesticide.(1) Received for publication on April 24, 2013 and approved on June 9, 2014. Isso pode interferir nos atributos do solo e na mobilidade de espécies químicas. Este trabalho teve por objetivo avaliar a influência das doses de dejeto líquido de suínos aplicadas em áreas agrícolas sobre os atributos químicos e físicos do solo e sobre a mobilidade de glifosato no perfil do solo. O trabalho foi realizado no 12º ano de condução de um experimento, com aplicação de dejeto líquido de suínos em Latossolo Vermelho distrófico, com doses anuais de 0, 50, 100 e 200 m 3 ha -1 ano -1 . Na testemunha (dose 0), houve reposição das quantidades de P e K exportados pelos grãos das culturas. Em cada parcela, foi realizada a determinação dos atributos físicos (densidade, porosidade, textura, condutividade hidráulica do solo saturado) e químicos (teor de matéria orgânica, pH, P extraível e K trocável) do solo.
