“…Production of laccase in the same media, though evident from day 1 itself, reached maximum on day 3, and started to decline subsequently when production of MnP started exponentially. MnSO4, Tween 80, and sodium malonate are inducers for MnP biosynthesis in different WRF (Perez and Jeffries 1992;Acevedo et al 2011;Järvinen et al 2012;Usha et al 2014). Production of laccase did not drastically increase unlike MnP in the media used.…”

“…The reaction mixture contained 120 µL of 10 mM DMP, 240 µL of 250 mM sodium tartrate buffer (pH 4), 120 µL of 10 mM MnSO 4 , 120 µL of 4 mM H 2 O 2 and 600 µL of sample. The mixture was incubated at 60 °C for one minute and the absorbance of the mixture was measured at 469 nm ( ε = 10,000 M −1 cm −1 ) [ 20 , 21 ]. Lignin peroxidase activity was determined using the method described by Tien and Kirk [ 22 ] with modifications.…”

“…The lignocellulose content in the substrate is known to act as an inducer in enzyme production. Inducers are compounds or elements that support reactions in enzymes and support enzyme secretion (Acevedo et al, 2011). Table 6 shows that the longer the fermentation time, the lower the activity of the MnP enzyme produced.…”
