Show more

“…Those data agree with several researches that investigated the use of repair strategies in different levels of phonological disorder severity 5,12,[14][15][16][17][18] . Repair strategies are ways used during the phonological acquisition, typical or atypical acquisition, in order to adapt the phonological system, during its formation, to the target phonological system.…”

“…In the omission, it is evidenced lower phonological knowledge by those children 16,17 , what is absence of approximation of children production in comparison to the adult target. This fact was also reinforced by the findings of the present study, because the severe disorder presented higher average of absent and altered fricatives, in the phonetic inventory and in the phonological system, respectively.…”

“…Regarding fricative phonemes, a study that aimed to verify the occurrence and types of phonological processes employed in this class showed that, just as it occurred in the present study, the phoneme /z/ suffers more devoicing in moderate-mild and moderate-severe deviation degrees (27) . As for the phoneme /Z/, the results differ, since in the mentioned study the authors found predominance of devoicing in the moderate-severe degree, while in this study, this process predominated in milder degrees.…”

“…As for the phoneme /Z/, the results differ, since in the mentioned study the authors found predominance of devoicing in the moderate-severe degree, while in this study, this process predominated in milder degrees. Finally, the phoneme /v/ was the least devoiced in this research, as well as in the one mentioned, with no difference between the degrees of deviation (27) .…”

“…The phonological acquisition of the child is marked by the presence of phonological processes, these processes are the result of a trend towards simplification that is inherent in the children's discourse, that is, they are natural and innate and occur in the child's speech patterns in order to simplify the most difficult targets in articulation, motor or planning terms and must be overcome as the child comes into contact with a language and faces sounds, structures and less simple and natural contrasts 1,2 , so that the final outcome of the child's normal phonological development is a phonological system according to the one of the target adult et al (2010), which allows quick and easy evaluation of the phonological system of the child, analyzing the production of segments of Brazilian Portuguese and their combinations through the nomination of 43 figures of cards determined from a phonologically balanced selection of words.…”
