Show more

“…In terms of diversity, for adult stratum, there is a considerable similarity to the regional surveys of the Atlantic Forest in the Zona da Mata in Pernambuco state, Brazil, for example, Alves-Júnior et al, Costa-Júnior et al and Guimarães et al [30,31,32] who found: 3.09; 3.20; 3.83 and 3.43 nats. ind.…”

“…The shape of the distribution curve of the diameters in J-inverted in this study is typical of rain forests with a high proportion of trees with DBH <30cm (FERREIRA;PRANCE, 1998;LIMA FILHO et al, 2001;HAUGAASEN et al, 2006;GUIMARÃES et al, 2009). The diametric structure found in this work suggests that the area had not suffered major disturbances and the natural dynamics of mortality and recruitment of new individuals, due to the occurrence of small natural clearings may be responsible for the observed distribution (Oliveira et al, 2008).…”

“…The Fabaceae family presented higher richness (19 species), and also being of greater wealth in works carried out in Pernambuco state (Guimarães et al, 2009;Silva et al, 2010). The Fabaceae family is one of the three most representative families of angiosperm flora mainly due to its wide dispersion, as well as its important ornamental and ecological role, mainly in atmospheric and soil nitrogen fixation, thus emphasizing its importance and necessary knowledge (Malczewski et al, 2014).…”
